Great original music!
If you like U2, Coldplay, Carrie Underwood, Michael W. Smith... you will love her band. Cherie frequently shares her music and the stories behind the music as well as some cover tunes.
Cherie completed her first album, "Remnant," with Grammy Award Winning Producer, Phil Naish (Steven Curtis Chapman, Point of Grace, and more) in February 2014. Together they are working on her second album, "One Heartbeat," scheduled to be released Fall 2015.
Look for her in 2015 at Bratfest and Summerfest. Past venues include Lifest 2012. Lifest 2013, Bratfest 2014, Women's Retreats, Leading Worship Services at Area Churches, Overflowing Cup, One Way Cafe, CareNet Fundraiser.
I've seen Cherie and the band at venues large and small. and have been touched deeply by their very personal and genuine presentation of the message of God's love. Cherie's personal relationship with her Savior is on display for all to see in her joyful countenance and inspired lyrics. The band is cohesive and well practiced. This band is for real!
The Cherie Norquay Band was awesome. Cherie shared a message with us that brought tears to our eyes. She compared her personal journey with the story of the Good Samaritan and her experience with a stray bird and related that when we see the ones around us we don't really "see" them. All this surrounded by inspirational music.
Price Range: $250 - $1500

What to Expect
Cherie is happy to customize her music to your venue's needs... Cherie frequently performs with her band. They perform two sets of original music (with several cover songs) with a brief intermission for a total of 60 - 120 minutes or one set that lasts 75 - 90 minutes. Cherie's music is family friendly and enjoyed by all ages.
Cherie's band has appeared at Lifest 2012, Lifest 2013, Bratfest 2014, and will be appearing at Bratfest 2015, Summerfest 2015, Mainstreet Entertainment in Janesville July, 2015.
Cherie released her first full length album, "Remnant," with three-time Grammy and Dove Award Winning producer, Phil Naish. Together they are working on Cherie's second album, "One Heartbeat," which is scheduled to be released Fall 2015.
For smaller venues and church services she is also able to sing with just two musicians from her band. Writing music from her heart, Cherie's beautiful voice and message inspire all who listen. Cherie's forte is bridging Contemporary music with the comforting words of hymns, especially those of Fanny Crosby. "Most people would be surprised to know that many of my songs were inspired by hymns," says Cherie. "There is a timeless truth captured in those lyrics."
Like the Isrealites wandering in the desert wondering where the Promised Land was, Cherie spent her life wondering if there wasn't something more to being a Christian than attending church and participating in good Christian programs. Stepping into the Promised Land by faith in November of 2009, Cherie followed the call to go on a mission trip to Uganda. The trip to Uganda altered the course of her life, giving her more clarity and vision on what it means to truly follow in Jesus footsteps. The outpouring of new music from the Lord is evidence of this calling to share a deeper walk with the Lord Jesus with the body of Christ... personally challenging others to move beyond religious activities and to actually share Jesus' love by being the hands, feet, eyes, ears, mouthpiece of Jesus to the lost in a hurting world.
Cherie's heart for the lost and poor are evident in her evangelistic music. Penetrating deep into the spirit, her music is transforming lives and leading people to lead more committed lives for Jesus.
Returning to Uganda with their older two children and team of six others, in 2010, Cherie shared her music in Kampala, taught women in the bush of Africa to make handcrafted soap, preached and gave an altar call in a remote village, and continued relations with the "Women with Purpose" co-operative.
Cherie is married 28 years to her high school sweetheart, John. They have five children. Their oldest daughter is married and is expecting their second grand-baby. Their oldest son is serving in the military. And their three younger children are still keeping them busy at home!

I love to perform my original songs because of the stories behind the songs and the testimonies I have to share. When we perform at music festivals we frequently add some cover tunes like Carrie Underwood's song "Something In The Water," Rod Stewart;s, "People Get Ready," Alison Krauss', "Simple Love," Big & Rich's, "That's Why I Pray," and more. For corporate worship we also incorporate well loved contemporary songs like "Open the Eyes of My Heart," Andrae Crouch's "Lord You Are Good," and several more depending on the length of time we have to perform.

Influences & Inspiration
I have definitely been influenced by other Contemporary Christian artists... most notably, Keith Green, Amy Grant, and Michael W. Smith. And outside of the Christian genre I enjoy listening to Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood.
