Typically a performance is live and consists of a minimum of one hour and maximum of three hours. During that time, depending on the client's preference, I will sing and play a set on guitar, ukukele, piano, or upright bass. Combination sets are also common, in which I play two or more of the aforementioned instruments throughout the set.
Charlie Shea is a composer, artist, and musician from Olathe, KS. She was performed by the Kansas City Symphony as a senior in high school and musical career took off from there. Charlie currently focuses on symphonic composition and solo music performance, as well as painting and digital art. Her solo music has seen success at local festivals, including the Kansas City Renaissance Festival, in coffee shops and bars all over the Midwest and in Canada, and also online. Charlie aspires to someday travel to France to perform there, as well.
My sound equipment is standard, but heavy. If you are able to provide a PA system or amplifier, that would be much preferred and appreciated. However, I am self-sufficient and able to provide sound equipment as long as there's an outlet to plug in to. Also, I will need a stage or space in which to perform. For those hiring my additional skills as a contrebassist, please keep in mind that I will need enough space to fit me, my bass, an amplifier, and two microphones. Thank you for your consideration!
