I can perform for events, from classical cello, to covers and experimental improvisation.
I hired Amalia for an intimate event, we were looking for a poetic, peaceful and minimal ambiance.
Her music was beyond what we expected, I got chills listening to her playing. It was beautiful, abstract, minimal and poetic, and an absolutely perfect for our event.
Also, her sense of fashion style is very graceful and and majestic.
My guests and I highly recommend her and will book her again.

Born in Paris, Amalia has studied and lived across many countries of the world.
She began playing the cello at the age of 10 in England, where she embarked on her musical voyage of discovery as a classical musician, growing up listening to a variety of genres that have played an influential role in shaping her musical diversity and sound which have gone beyond her intensive classical training.
She pursued her cello studies in New York where she attended the pre-university program at Mannes School of Music, of the New School, and was soon after admitted to her first choice for undergraduate studies, the Conservatory at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She studied classical performance and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in cello performance.
Her career as a cellist continued in Paris where she performed with Breakbot and other notorious french artists. She has performed in major Parisian venues as well as on national french television. During this time she also taught the cello to individual students at the American School of Paris.
After a few years and while developing a growing parallel fashion career in Paris, where she worked for designers such as Saint Laurent Paris, her experiences eventually led her back to New York.
In New York City, she met and began collaborations with various musicians and artists, ranging from minimal electronic works, soulful pop music, to interpretive dance art film projects with professional teams of creatives.
Besides her own personal work and collaborations, she has created a brand new project with artist and singer Valentina Mendoza, a talented singer and songwriter from Colombia. They together have been performing with growing popularity as a duet at various well known venues in New York City.
For my solo and duo work, there will be a transportation fee.
This is in order to bring both cello (and if necessary: an amp/pedal for effects) to an event.
