Casey Feldkamp is a freelance collaborative pianist in the Boulder/Denver area. Growing up in Northern Wisconsin, she studied piano and violin from an early age. She earned a degree in piano performance and collaborative piano from Lawrence University, where she studied with Michael Mizrahi. During her time at Lawrence, Casey was granted the Accompanying Fellowship, which gave her experience accompanying voice, string and wind players for recitals, juries, competitions and opera scenes. She collaborated with the Viking Chorale on a range of choral works including Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms and Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem. Casey also performed a variety of instrumental sonatas, including Beethoven’s Violin Sonata in A Minor, Brahms’ Violin Sonata in G Major, and Hindemith’s Clarinet Sonata.
Since moving to Boulder, Casey has worked with students and choirs at Boulder, Fairview, and Monarch High Schools, Centennial and Casey Middle Schools, and Crest View Elementary. She recently joined the music team at Mountain View Methodist Church as the staff accompanist, where she works with the Chancel Choir and Spirit Singers. Casey also freelances for private events and weddings in the area. In her free time, Casey enjoys hiking in the mountains with her husband and nature photography.
