Carson is a fiddle player with years of professional experience, playing with numerous rising stars in the Texas country music scene. His style of music includes classic country, red dirt country, western swing, bluegrass, folk, jazz and classic pop. Known for effortlessly lending his talent as a lead instrumentalist to any band, Carson also does solo performances for events that require a more toned down musical act. Whether your event calls for boot-stomping-bonafide country with a full band, or just ambient music for a dinner party, Carson can get the job done.
Perfect for our event.
I hired Carson to play a songwriting showcase that was aired on TV and we had never met or played together before, and he absolutely killed it. A very talented and hard working musician that plays multiple instruments. I received lots of compliments on his fiddle playing after the show. This is your guy folks!
Price Range: $150 - $300

What to Expect
When seeing Carson perform, expect aggressive Texas attitude paired with the silky smoothness of his fiddle and bow. He plays everything by ear, though he is capable and trained to read music as well. There have been times where Carson did not meet his front man until the night of the show, yet still shined within his role as a lead instrument, effortlessly adding solos and fills to each song.
Before Carson even started grade school, the fiddle was something he would drag from underneath his grandmother's bed and make squeal with a youngster's delight. His parents got tired of the squealing and gave him the opportunity to take fiddle lessons when he was 8 years old.
Carson played in school talent shows every year, accompanying a band of friends who also loved music. There were several 1st places and proud moments. When he was 15, Carson began offering lessons after school. He also joined a band at this time, Jeremy Phifer and the Texas Badwater Band, who he continued to play with throughout his high school career.
When Carson moved to College Station to study chemical engineering at Texas A&M, he met Brad Thomas Gomez. Together, Carson and Brad have performed numerous times at bars and venues all over southeast Texas.
Carson has played with many up and coming artists in the Texas music scene, including Brad Thomas, Wynn Williams, Trever Carico, and Garrett Ford.
In addition to playing the fiddle, Carson plays just about anything with strings, including guitar, mandolin, dobro, bass, and drums. Carson played bass for a youth ministry band while he was in high school and had a brief stunt as the bassist for the Brad Thomas Band.
With a wide variety in his musical background, Carson's plays a mix of classic country, red dirt, Texas country, bluegrass, folk, jazz, classic pop, and western swing.
