Now booking for St. Pat's 2017 parties!
More 5 Star ratings and bookings in the past year than any other Celtic trio in the area! We have opened for Gaelic Storm, performed 3 weeks at the Kennedy Center and had 50 performances throughout DC/Maryland/Virginia in the past year!
We can play as a trio, or as a solo singer/guitarist.
We play traditional Irish music and pub songs for weddings, private parties, St. Patrick's Day events, festivals, pubs and funeral receptions. We play fiddle, flute, tin whistle, acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjitar and harmonica with both male and female vocals for popular Irish pub songs.
A grand presentation of lively Irish music and story telling. Stephen O'Toole was engaging and great fun. His music really got our group ready for St. Patrick's day! Since his performance several have our members have requested his return.
Response from Capital Celtic:
Thanks so much Elena! You and the other 120 ladies attending last week were so much fun for me to perform for! I can't wait to come back and play for you again! God bless you all!!! --Steven
Capital Celtic played for my father's birthday in December and they were fantastic. Everything about the experience was wonderful, from booking to setting up to the actual performance. I found them incredibly easy to work with and wonderfully professional. Their set was energetic and fun - they played mainly Irish music with some more classic songs mixed in. They kept the crowd engaged and everyone thoroughly enjoyed them! I was very happy with my choice.
Response from Capital Celtic:
Thanks Christine! We had a great time performing for your family at your father's party at Growler's Pub and we'd love to play for your family again any time you'd like.
I saw these guys play at O'Faolain's in Sterling. They did a great job on the traditional Irish tunes but also had a nice mix of Holiday music as well (we saw them at a Christmas event). They were fun to watch and we all had a lot of fun (adults and kids). I would definitely go see them again and hope to see them back at O'Faolain's. I even thought about hiring them for a private event but it turns out they were booked already....
We were so lucky to find Capital Celtic for our wedding reception this past January 1st. Aside from being great musicians, they were so easy to work with and such nice people. The music was wonderful, a great mix of lyrical and fast-paced fun. All our guests loved the music and many said it was the happiest wedding they'd attended in a long time--thanks in large part to Capital Celtic. I'd definitely hire them again!!
My wife and I enjoyed a terrific afternoon at Hunter's Run Winery on November 21st listening to the wonderful Irish music provided by CAPITAL CELTIC!
We are looking forward to hearing them play again at O'Faolain's Pub in Sterling on Decemebr 17th for the Ancient Order of Hibernians Christmas Party!
Finally, a group that actually plays, knows, and sing some great Irish songs and tunes. Capital Celtic plays at our winery once a month and we cannot be happier. We are a truly Irish owned winery here in Northern VA and are delighted and honored to have such an amazing group play here at Hunters Run Winery. They have such a vast play list ranging from old ballads, to pub songs , to a good old fiddle session. They remind me of home each time I hear them. Steven is very engaging with the crowd and our customers just love him, and the 2 ladies that play with him. They play fiddle, acoustic guitar, flute, and mandolin. What more could you ask for. They are easy to work with, can adapt to any environment, and are a pleasure to work with.

We always arrive early, well in time to discuss location of the band at the event, sound, lighting, etc. We are there to serve you, whatever that may be. If it's a loud event, we can play at the right levels to be heard without having to talk over the band. If it's a quieter event, we play quieter. We work with you to play the right mix of songs, jigs, reels and covers. If there's a song you want to hear, we'll work with you to play that song for you. We're highly professional, courteous at all times, and respectful for you, the guest(s) of honor, and your home or venue. We're not satisfied unless you're completely pleased with every interaction with the band -- before, during, and after our performance.

With over 60, 5-star ratings since 2015, Capital Celtic is the highest-rated Irish/Celtic trio in the entire Virginia/Maryland/Washington DC area.
They performed a three week engagement at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington DC in May/June 2016, selected as part of the once-every-century "Ireland 100" celebration.
They opened for Gaelic Storm in June 2016 at the Tally Ho Theater in Leesburg, Virginia.
They have performed at Irish pubs, wineries, festivals and private events such as weddings and parties, from Harrisburg to Richmond and from Winchester to the Eastern Shore.
Capital Celtic would love to perform lovely Celtic instrumentals, upbeat sing-along pub songs and heartfelt Irish ballads at your next event.
All we need is a power supply leading to the performance area, a performance area for our trio, and overhead coverage in the event of rain. For low key events such as wakes, we prefer to perform seated so as not to call too much attention away from the main event.
