We are a folk/indie/acoustic female duo based out of Baton Rouge and Lafayette, LA. We play for all types of events, including but not limited to parties, weddings (ceremonies and/or receptions), restaurants, and fundraisers. All of our music is original, and instrumentation varies but includes piano, guitar, fiddle, harmonica, and harmony vocals. We are also open to learning songs if you have a special song you want us to play! People say we sound like Norah Jones, Alison Krauss, and the Be Good Tanyas, among others. Price varies depending on location, time, etc, but we usually charge $100-200 per hour. We are willing to travel.

What to Expect
Our music is acoustic and mellow, and a good fit for intimate settings. Our music can be both entertainment for sit-down audiences and background music for more busy events.
Calico began in 2007 when Fawn and Rebecca realized how much original music they had lying around on random pieces of paper and post-it notes but were not playing. On their first practice, they were surprised how well their music fit together. Because they were both drawn to anything vintage, they decided to name themselves Calico, after the vintage fabric (not the cat). These days, the band, now Calico & the Off-Brand Band, has released their first album, Pictures, and is constantly writing new music.
Additional Booking Notes
We need a power source to plug in electrical equipment (our keyboard). This can sometimes be an issue for outside events, and long extension cords are often used.
Our set list is composed of all of our original music, and depending on the event, we sometimes throw some Cajun songs in there. We are open to learning songs if you have a special song you want us to play for your event.
