Bruce was exactly what we wanted for our wedding ceremony. He played beautifully and really made the ceremony special! I highly recommend him!
Bruce did a fantastic job at my daughter's wedding. His playing was so tasteful and beautiful! "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was so awesome. He is very personable and professional and I highly recommend him for your event, you won't be disappointed!
Our daughter and new son-in-law had the privilege to have Bruce Canafax play classical guitar music for their wedding ceremony and cocktail hour on April 30. Bruce's music is exceptional and was just exactly what they wanted for their special day. The ceremony music was exactly perfect and emotional and we all loved it, especially the bride and groom. Truly magical!
Bruce played for my father's memorial service. I am so glad we chose him! After speaking with several guitarists, Bruce stood out as not only skilled, but kind, decent, humble, and dedicated to making the service what we hoped for, even on short notice.
We made some tall orders and gave little direction - as the family was very busy and in mourning; but wanted the music to be something my father (a classical music buff) would have enjoyed. Bruce played wonderfully, and we received many compliments on the service.
Thank you so much Bruce! I know my father would have been pleased.

As professional guitarist for 30 years, I offer a wide range of musical styles for a moment in time that you and your guests will remember for a lifetime. Having earned my master's degree in classical guitar performance from UNT, I play the standard guitar repertoire including the music of Bach, Tarrega, Albeniz, Barrios, Sor, Guiliani, Mertz, Schubert and Pachelbel for the classical sound that purists desire. If you prefer something more in line with your individual tastes, then I also play jazz standards from composers like Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Henry Mancini and George Gershwin and even classic rock tunes by Led Zepplin, Eric Clapton and the Beatles. Whatever the event, I will mix the music to meet your discriminating needs. From intimate dinner parties to lavish weddings, private birthday parties to grand openings, my music will provide you with the ambiance you seek. I will work hard to guarantee your satisfaction.
A look at my play list will reveal an extensive array of music available, including many classical favorites along with many contemporary tunes. And yes, I can play many of those Spanish and Latin favorites such as Ponce's “Estrellita,” the ever popular “Spanish Romance,” Albeniz's “Leyenda” and Tarrega's “Recuerdos de la Alhambra”. If you don't see your favorite song listed, don't worry, I have an extensive guitar library that probably has your favorite classical or Latin solo in it.
If your taste leans more toward the contemporary genres, I have created sophisticated solo arrangements for numerous clients over the years from artists such as Norah Jones, Billy Joel, Kenny Chesney and even bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Just provide me with the artist and the title of the song and I will use my expertise in music theory and arranging for the guitar to create a unique arrangement that you and your guests will surely enjoy.
