Brother Spellbinder plays well-crafted songs that might be defined as cabaret-folk pop with a dreamy, old-world ache and a modern melodic edge. They play haunting originals and whimsical covers with female and male vocals on ukulele, guitar, fiddle, cello, percussion, mandolin and harmonica. They also occasionally play with a harpist or wind player.
The group can play as a full quintet or in smaller combinations to suit all needs.
Due to my own scheduling mistake, Brother Spellbinder was unable to perform at my event. My mistake was discovered at the last minute and the band pulled out all the stops to find me a great alternative. Extremely kind, helpful and professional to work with. Next time I will book correctly and look forward to their music.
Alzara & Brother Spellbinder played at my 60th birthday party and did a wonderful job. They were very flexible and accommodating to work with in the planning of the event and followed up on all of the commitments they made, including learning a few of my favorite songs to play.
The quality of their talent was top notch and I appreciate their flexibility in working with me - including walking 1/2 mile to my outdoor venue.
I would definitely recommend them to others

What to Expect
We can play from 15 minutes to 4 hours, depending on the needs of our client. We have a unique sound, so check us out out online at (link hidden) or (link hidden) where we are usually #1 or #2 in folk.
When needed, we have our own equipment and battery powered amplifiers for outdoors or small spaces in-doors. We can also play unplugged! If sound is being provided, we require two vocal microphones, one microphone for violin, one microphone for cello, and direct inputs for ukulele and guitar. Plus a monitor. For large venues, let's discuss.
We can play a combination of covers and originals and can add some of your favorites, but are not a cover band.
For more information, you can visit us on reverbnation or at (link hidden)
