The Brooklyn String Quartet came together through a house concert series located in Brooklyn, and they continue to perform together bi-weekly in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the tri-state area. As a New York City established ensemble, each member of the Brooklyn String Quartet share a unified vision of maintaining the beautiful culture of the string quartet in today's modern society where other forms of music may have pre-dominated. Using social networking and various platforms such as GroupMuse, Peace Music Industry Group, Manhattan School of Music and other schools, the BSQ endeavors to work together to teach & share the antiquity, high art, and ultimately the great joy of the string quartet.

One of Catherine’s projects during her studies at the Manhattan School of Music was the Symposium Concert Series, which has led her to perform in apartment homes around the city and build a community of young artists.
