On short notice, Mr. Ford assembled just the right group for a memorial service for my friend's father. It was a moving tribute, and their performance was sensitive, punctual and flawless.

Brian Ford is a sought-after violinist performing and teaching in the New York City area. His most recent performances include concertmaster of the Taghkanic Chorale with music director Steven Fox, and performances at the Consulate’s of Mexico and the Chezch Republic. He performs with Orchestra Modern and Utopia Opera, and is concertmaster of Litha Symphony and Vocal Productions NYC. He studied violin performance with Kevin Lawrence at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Further teachers have included Cynthia Roberts at the Juilliard School and Calvin Weirsma from SUNY Purchase.
He was a member of the Winston-Salem Symphony for three concert seasons and taught privately. Additionally, he coached chamber music groups served as a judge for youth orchestras and competitions.
He also performed with the Carolina Philharmonic, the Fayetteville Symphony, and the Long Bay Symphony. He coached the Winston-Salem Youth Symphony and served as concertmaster for two community orchestras. He performed with the Long Bay Youth Symphony as the winner of a concerto competition. At UNCSA, he performed with the “nu” contemporary ensemble, directed by Ransom Wilson, and collaborated with internationally renowned choreographer Brenda Daniels for a series of performances of J.S. Bach’s Chaconne.
Performances are acoustic, therefore, no amps, plugs, or microphones are needed. If amplification is desired however, it may be provided.
