BodyPaint Misbehavin was a great addition to our event. Alexis was very professional and had a "can-do" attitude. She went above & beyond to help out where she could. I would definitely use her again for another event!
This is the 3rd year in a row we had her for Aspen Lorens Birthday. She is always a hit! We love her!
BEAUTIFUL ONE-OF-A-KIND ARTWORK ADDED A WOW FACTOR TO THE DESIGN AND DINE EVENT FOR U MED'S SPA'S DISPLAY THANKS TO THE ARTISTIC WORK DONE BY ALEXIS
I would hire her again, and I will recommend her to friends. She exceeded my expectations and did a great job twisting the balloon animals. The kids had fun with her.
This was a great addition to our 2 year old little girl's birthday party. All the children enjoyed watching the balloon animals being made as well as playing with them after. Alexis even came dressed as Aerial. It was lots of fun!
Alexis is prompt, showing up to our party right on time. I hired her for 90 minutes, but she stayed around just to hang out for a little bit afterwards. Her artwork was so impressive, all the parents were awed and the kids were definitely pleased! The face painting was a hit. The children told her what they wanted, and she figured it out so quickly. Everyone had a chance to get their face painted and balloons twisted. The balloon animals were incredible and very good. My daughter and her friends loved Winnie the Pooh and friends. Alexis made some in advance to show the kids what she could do. My daughter loved her Tigger balloon. I would definitely recommend Alexis and would use her again in the future!
Response from Family Friendly Entertainment Services:
Thank you so much the kids were really amazing!
I hired Alexis to become one of our approved vendors for our after party prom entertainment. She passed our rigorous back ground checks with flying colors. She showed up early, set up and was working non stop the entire length of time. She had a line of kids waiting to get fake airbrushed tattoos or glitter tattoos she was quite popular at this event as we have several entertainment choices for the kids. Our school sent her paperwork to reapply for this years Prom After Party since background checks are done yearly for our kids safety.
Jean hired Body Paint Misbehavin for our Company Independance Day Celebration. Alexis, asked how we liked the staff member and we would not only recommend her staff member Lexi & we would work with her again. We also recommend Body Paint Misbehavin and we would rehire this company again in the future because she exceeded our expectations.
I recommend Body Paint Misbehavin. After meeting Alexis and talking to her about what she will bring for our party she met my expectations and my guests seemed to really love her artistry. I will rehire her in the future.
The best face/body painter I have ever used. We had almost a full body paint on the model and it stayed on even in the Texas heat. Looked amazing. She was able to do it fairly quickly to..Very precise.
Would recommend anytime and the only person I will be using for my work.
Response from Family Friendly Entertainment Services:
Thank you so much Josh I really appreciate you taking the time to review me .. thank you.
I hired Alexis her prices are great. She was professional, arrived early, set up and went to work early. She brought my daughter a Minnie Mouse Balloon Art and pre twisted balloons so the kids could focus on glitter tattoos and fake airbrushed tattoos. It was a fun time for all. I recommend her and yes I will rehire her again. I was asked did she fail to or meet or exceed my expectations I can say she exceeded my expectations and because of that I recommend her.
I knew very early on in my pregnancy that I wanted to get a tree with a baby painted on my body so I searched and found Alexis and she was very professional and kept in contact with me while my pregnancy developed so there would be a nice full tummy to paint on. I did not want to show too much so she was very creative in her way to paint me and show some but not too much.
She came to my house and set up and went right into the creative process. I am very pleased with the results and I will use her services again. I happily recommend her to you.
Pam hired her and I was on site to manage all the vendors. She showed up early and was set up by start time. I give her five stars and I recommend her and I would rehire her in the future.
I ran into Alexis at a fundraiser earlier in the year. She was eager to help raise money for the animals. We hired her to do face painting and body art at our annual Dog Days of Summer Event.
She showed up early and was set up on time. She was professional and friendly. She did a great job and exceeded my expectations. I will gladly recommend her and I will rehire her again for next years event. She even has pet safe fur paint and painted our volunteers dog Bruce with the Superman logo!
I got Alexis card from a birthday party she was entertaining at prior to mothers day. I hired her for my daughters party. I would recommend her. I would hire her again. She exceeded my expectations. She painted my daughters face as hello kitty.
I am so glad I found and hired Alexis for my daughters confirmation party at the Elm Street Studio a truly lovely venue. She showed up early, set up and began entertaining the children. She did a great job and before long the adults were just as entertained by her cool body art as the kids. I have an event in Aug and another one in Dec of this year and I will be rehiring Body Paint Misbehavin again! She was very good with the kids too.
I hired Alexis to entertain at the Car Dealerships Customer Appreciation events for two different dealerships in the metroplex. She showed up on time was friendly and professional. She did a great job by exceeding my expectations. I will rehire her in the future and I recommend that you hire her for your events as well. She encouraged me to have some body art done and since I love penquins I asked her to paint one on my hand, she did such a great job painting my penquin that I really did not want to wash it off.
My assistant Katy hired Alexis who showed up early to our event and I told her I appreciated her being punctual.
She set up and the kids got a variety of fake tattoos some of the adults even joined in...she helped make our party a success.
I contacted Alexis and booked her. She was very professional and priced fairly.
We wanted face painting for our Daughters Rock n Roll party. We hired Body Paint Misbehavin and she did a great job. We would recommend her to friends and we will rehire her in the future.
The kids loved her and loved her cool car too.
My wife Tania, hired her for my daughters Princess Birthday Party and she was so very patient with the little girls. She has good artist skills The girls were wiggly and it took a bit longer than I had hoped but the faces of the girls looked great. Everyone seemed very pleased!!
We needed a bodypainter who used UV paint for a 3 day event at the end of the year in Dallas called "Lights All Night." My group (4 of us) and I had such a wonderful time working with Alexis. She is so professional and artistically gifted! She was able to incorporate her ideas and elaborate on ours and combined them perfectly for our event. She also met with us on New Years Eve even while she had her own event to get to she took the time and had us all done in time to get to our event with black light paint. She was absolutely delightful to work with and we will certainly come to Alexis with all our body paint needs.
Alexis did my granddaughter's 1st birthday party and the kids loved her. She did tatoos on all the kids and they had a great time. She was the highlight of the party. I would use her again in a heartbeat. We give her 5 STARS
Response from Family Friendly Entertainment Services:
Thank you so much for your time and appreciation.
I had an event to go to at the lake and wanted a sailor shirt painted on me. If you want to be the life of the party Body Paint Misbehavin is the place to go. I told her what I wanted and she went above and beyond my expectations. I had her paint a sailor shirt on me and it was so realistic with all the shadows and details people were actually pinching me because they thought it was a real shirt, just super tight : ) Definitely worth the experience! My picture ran in DMagazine and is on her website too.
I first got in touch with Body Paint Misbehavin through a simple Google search. I emailed her along with several other body paint artists and she was the only one who got back to me. The whole experience, from beginning to end, was outstanding. We met a week prior to the event to go over ideas, and Alexis was extremely informative and had great input. The day of the event we met at her studio and she was extremely professional. I was blown away by the finished product and could not believe how talented she is. I will definitely be using her in the future!
My step dad and I drove up from the coast to watch our favorite team the Redskins on Thanksgiving at the Texas Stadium. We were not having much luck finding a body painter that was available that day... we were relieved when Alexis answered her phone and agreed to our project. She made everything easy for us saving us drive time and her family even fed us too.
We had shaved our heads so that we could have her paint Redskins helmets on us for the game. She was skilled and used multi layer steps to make sure the paint would not sweat off but last the whole game. Her body art was a huge hit not only with us but with the other fans at the stadium everyone wanted to take our pictures. We will use her again and gladly recommend her.
I came across Body Paint Misbehavin when I googled body painters in my area. I was looking for someone that could paint tiger markings on my body for an event on Halloween. I emailed the link on the page and I immediately received a response. The artist, Jessica Alexis was great. She was very quick with getting back to me anytime I emailed her with questions.
The day of the event I arrived at her studio at 4pm
I needed to be ready by 7pm and she was great at making sure she had plenty of time to get the job done with time left over so I wouldn't be late. Although she was working with a picture I showed her she still kept it original and made great suggestions, from what shade of orange would look best on my skin tone, to how to paint my face and still accentuate my features.
She was also very nice making me feel very comfortable and played music while she worked making the atmosphere very laid back. Overall I absolutely LOVED my makeup. I couldn't have been happier with the end results, not only did she do a similar job to the picture I showed her but she went beyond that and made me look better than the picture! I couldn't have been happier with the results, I'll definitely be coming back to her in the future.
I hired Alexis to paint the Dallas Stars logo on my face for a Stars hockey game last year.
She was at her studio waiting for me when I arrived, she had everything ready and started working with me right away. She did several steps along the way and my face painting lasted the entire game and I got a lot of compliments.
I was really pleased with her artwork and how nice and professional she was, She has since painted me more than once and I gladly recommend her.

I show up early to set up for your event whether it is a casual family back yard party or a professional table or booth depending on size of event. I put due diligence in prepping for your event. I promote a professional appearance unless you request me to come dressed in theme attire. I give you your full performance time or if the event dies out in some cases I get excused early. Early release is not common it is more common your guests are having so much fun you have to force them to stop or go over and if you need extra time that can usually be arranged and settled up on at the event. I pack up and leave things as neat as possible.
I am the primary artist/entertainer Jessica "Alexis" Steele behind Family Friendly Entertainment Services Where creatively engaged minds have no time to misbehave. For larger events we have professional artists who join our team effort to make your event a success.
We entertain between ages 2 to adults for all kinds of events and all kinds of reasons. We use all professional grade face and body paint with many types of body paint that is best suited for your needs. We can choose from water based, alcohol based, Ultra Violet or UV activated body paint for use in raves and clubs, and summer of 2014 we will begin using a new line of hybrid paints for waterproof needs but want easier removal than traditional waterproof body paints.
We offer glitter tattoos and temporary airbrushed tattoos for small body art pieces that are really eye-catching and quite popular these designs are waterproof and great for lake and pool parties. We can also make custom stencils for your event needs with ample advance notice. Applications are too numerous to list here I give a full description on my website.
We typically show up a few minutes before to an hour before depending on how extensive our set up is going to be from a single table to two tables to three tables and a pop-up canopy and a generator....it just depends.
We also take a hygienic as possible approach when rendering services. I use a skin friendly nontoxic cleaner called brush bath in brush rinse water. I use a variety of brushes and sponges and q-tips are great for lips or brushes can be cleaned with a two-step process on location. We have baby wipes, hand sanitizers, brush bath cleaners, and rubbing alcohol of 91% to 99% volume which will kill most anything that I know of...
I avoid face painting obviously sick kids with sneezing and coughing and dripping noses ugh... it happens, I know, I have raised 3 of my own little ones into grown adults. In the case of a sick child I can paint on their arm or give them stickers or a balloon animal... but I won't be able to face paint an obviously ill child.
Then after our event has ended, the artist will in most cases have a review form to fill out, the review is important and tipping the artist is optional and greatly appreciated.
NEWS FLASH If you saw the article: "FDA warns consumers about dangers of temporary tattoos" back in 2011 this article came out.
It brings up very valid concerns as follows:
The gist of the article is henna tattoo ink that has been supplemented with various non-skin friendly chemicals to darken or lengthen the durability of the henna inks but ended up permanently scarring via chemical burns people's skin. (note temporary tattoos were generalized to cover henna tattoos which I do not offer)
Ask your body painting artist if she is a full-time professional or a hobbyist part timer. The reason is hobbyist and part-timers may or may not invest in the pricey correct paints to use or they may use acrylics from a craft store which can cause chemical burns, a red flag is too cheap of a price point, if the artist is doing things right she/he will need to charge more to cover the costs of supplies.
One of our CREEDS states: We do not use anything on the skin, face or hair that could in any way harm the person. If it was not designed specifically for use on skin, hair or face we are not going to use it. So the artist who says oh yeah I use such n such all the time it never bothers me and advocates product misuse well it is a major red flag to avoid these artists at all costs due to the fact that they don't take it seriously and are willing to risk themselves and you in the process.
I am a committed artist and anything I put on your skin is designed and created and tested and FDA compliant and or approved to be used on skin. Many of my paints are even safe to put on a babies skin. I will not put you or your children in harms way, ever. Occasionally there can be a reaction to face paint especially if you let your child sleep in it, (please don't I know they may beg you to but don't allow your child to sleep in face paint is not designed to be slept in and it could cause skin problems plus doing this is considered product misuse and will not be covered by insurance policies.) But the overall point is it is exceedingly rare for there to be a reaction to face paint. Face and body paint is actually not paint at all. It is actually a specially modified form of stage makeup designed for theater and movie production.
My prices ( we are not the cheapest and we don't undercut nor are we the most expensive) our pricing in part reflects what I have to pay for products that keep you safe and that my friends is priceless peace of mind. My prices reflect cost of insurance, cost of doing business, trip charges, supplies used, professional training classes, and a little for profit. There is no point in being in business if you can't make a little extra to get buy on. Artists who offer dirt cheap prices are offering those dirt cheap prices for a reason. I will always pay more out of pocket as a business woman to keep myself liability free and your family and friends safe.
I need time to create, many a time I have found that clients do not fully understand what goes into body painting. Depending on what I am painting there is often days and days to weeks worth of practicing and prepping to get a theme to look right I might paint something entirely many many times before I get to your day and I paint it on you. Art classes for realism, technique classes with my tools, studying and researching lighting or how cloth falls in different ways. I don't just show up and spray you with paint cans as one client told me as she was justifying why she showed up an hour late for her session, "you're just gonna spray me with paint cans you don't need all that time." Ummm wow.... o.k. So there is a great deal of behind the scenes work that clients do not see. I research reference materials for my reference picture or I create a brand new one and use that as my reference. Making sure the colors are correct, if there is any additional ordering for costume or special FX's prosthetics etc etc .... skin pre prep, applying body paint, skin post prep afterwards there is an art to this art!
I book many types of events: kids parties, adult parties, football game parties, tail gate parties, private events, public events, festivals, face painting gigs, promotional model painting, replicating clothing or product logos like alcohol bottle labels, I book charity fund raisers and can make custom stencils with your event or company logo. Sky is the limit really.
Craig Tracey <- really influenced me I totally adore him and his encouragement and advice. Mark Reid and John Neyrot and Nick Wolfe, I have taken private lessons from these artists. Local artist Leroy Roper has also given me great advice. Joanne Gair and her amazing body art blow me out of the water. There are many body painting artists that I really admire their works and who they are as a person. I strive to constantly improve and climb higher in artistic skills.
