Between a full-scale rebrand and a series of marketing investments, we saw meaningful momentum across the marketplace. Read on for a more detailed account of product updates from 2025, followed by a preview of what we\u2019re building in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-introduced-a-brand-new-look\">Introduced a brand-new look<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 1, we officially launched the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gigsalad.com\/blog\/2025-gigsalad-rebrand\/\">GigSalad rebrand<\/a>! This was a monumental undertaking that touched nearly every corner of the site. It wasn\u2019t just a fresh coat of paint; it was a robust redesign built to better reflect who we are today and where we\u2019re headed next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the highlights included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A new logo and logomark (hi, Herb \ud83d\udc4b)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A fresh color palette and modernized fonts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Custom graphics featuring unique shapes and patterned backgrounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fresh designs and improved UX across the entire site<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and we couldn\u2019t be more excited about how the new brand is setting the tone for the future. In 2025, we built on that momentum and made more marketing moves than ever before. We even hired a new VP of Marketing (say hi to Dave \ud83d\udc4b) with decades of experience to steer the ship. And guess what? It&#8217;s all working!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-advertising\">\ud83d\udcf0 Advertising<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We reintroduced more targeted Google ads and expanded into new social channels, reaching event planners through platforms like Reddit and Pinterest. We also started exploring more retargeting efforts to recapture planners around the web. These efforts will continue to be refined over the next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-social-media\">\ud83d\udcf1 Social media<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We began our series of &#8220;Mark Learns How&#8221; videos in 2024 and continued through 2025, even taking the show on the road to New York City and Los Angeles. Our talented CEO, Mark Steiner, learned the art of everything from caricature drawing and drumming to fire performing and belly dancing. What will he try in 2026? Follow us on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/gigsalad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Facebook<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/gigsalad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Instagram<\/a> to find out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-commercials\">\ud83d\udcfa Commercials<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We maintained our commercial advertising presence throughout 2025 and introduced a brand-new spot designed specifically for brides and grooms. This feature is exclusive to paid members and gives helpful info about competitor activity on each lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>With lead insights, you can see:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How many other members responded<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How many members have sent quotes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How many of those quotes are active and bookable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If no other members (but you!) were contacted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These details are designed to help you respond more strategically and prioritize the leads most likely to convert. In 2026, we\u2019ll be testing new designs, layouts, and user flows to see what drives the strongest results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some planned tests include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Profile redesigns<\/strong> that better showcase media and highlight member achievements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Quote request form updates<\/strong> with improved, modal-based UX.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Onboarding improvements<\/strong> to help new members create stronger profiles from day one.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>With redesigns on the horizon and new joins creating better profiles from the jump, make sure yours is ready to compete. Update your photos, add videos, request reviews, and refresh your text. Two ways we&#8217;ll do this in 2026 are through refined category settings and new messaging tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-category-specific-preferences\"><strong>Category-specific preferences<\/strong> \u2013 In 2025, we tested category-specific preferences with costumed characters, allowing providers to identify their offerings and planners to request them for better lead matching. In 2026, we\u2019ll continue expanding per-category customization across more services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-messaging-app-for-ios-and-android\"><strong>Messaging app for iOS and Android<\/strong> \u2013 While a full GigSalad app is a larger lift than we\u2019re ready for, we are actively developing a new messaging app. This app will allow you to receive and respond to client messages and get push notifications for faster replies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udc49 Want to beta test the app when it&#8217;s ready? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gigsalad.com\/contact\">Let us know<\/a>, and we&#8217;ll put you on the list!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-booking-through-gigsalad\">\u2705 Booking through GigSalad<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2026, we are putting focus on using the GigSalad booking platform. Our terms require that all leads that begin on GigSalad be finalized on the site. Enforcement has been relaxed in the past, but we are reining that in moving forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our goal isn\u2019t to add friction; it\u2019s to make the booking platform the best possible experience for both sides of the transaction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For members<\/strong> \u2013 Expect continued improvements to messaging and quoting, including a possible exploration of package options and multiple-quote functionality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For event planners<\/strong> \u2013 We\u2019re working on updated copy, a redesigned checkout experience, and additional payment options. We\u2019ve already begun testing Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Venmo, and we\u2019ll be monitoring usage to determine which options are most useful to keep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that failure to complete bookings through the platform may result in profile removal, though adequate warnings will always be given first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>As we step into 2026, our focus remains simple: build tools that help planners book with confidence and help talent win more of the right gigs.
