If ignored or handled poorly, negative reviews can have a seriously detrimental effect on your business. <strong>A properly handled negative review, however, can actually increase business. <\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Respond quickly &#8211; One study says that over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.convinceandconvert.com\/social-media-research\/42-percent-of-consumers-complaining-in-social-media-expect-60-minute-response-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">40% of dissatisfied customers<\/a> want a response within the hour! <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respond calmly &#8211; Don\u2019t get defensive or belligerent. Other customers reading your response are looking to see how you handle the complaint. You want to avoid an online shouting match. Leave that for Reddit. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respond reasonably &#8211; If a refund is appropriate, offer it. If an apology is necessary, say you\u2019re sorry. <strong>Let the customer know the steps you\u2019re taking to fix the issue or confusion.<\/strong> Remember, they are complaining publicly, so you
