When it comes to designing an event\u00a0layout, there are many aspects that affect the overall look. Most people don’t realize what a huge difference something as simple as chair covers can be to the entire aesthetic of an event. Here are some things to consider while designing\u00a0your reception, banquet, or dinner party!<\/p>\n

Attendance<\/h2>\n

Be sure to get an accurate head count before setting up the layout of your event. The estimated attendance determines the layout and quantity of the tables and chairs. You want to use your space as efficiently as you can, and make sure your guests have room to move, eat, and dance! If you have a waitstaff<\/a> in mind, you’ll want to make sure you have room for them to be able to serve your guests without bumping into each other. Try sketching out your event layout in a few different ways to see what fits the best.<\/p>\n

Table and Chairs<\/h2>\n

Most chairs that are provided by a venue or rental company are usually not very aesthetically pleasing. Many linen companies will provide chair covers<\/a> in addition to skirts. If you seek it out, there are rental companies who do all of the above: tables, chairs, linens, and chair covers. Having your chairs covered can completely transform the room. Additional adornments in addition to the covers include, sashes, bows, flowers<\/a>, or other creatively draped items.<\/p>\n

Other tables and rentals you may need to take into consideration, depending on the type of event, are the head table, cake table, gift table, and\/or podium. Once you know the number and what kind of tables you need, work with the event staff to determine the layout so they can set the event up to your liking.<\/p>\n

Choosing Decor<\/h2>\n

Next up is the decor for your table. You will want the linens<\/a>, skirts, and centerpieces to match the colors and theme of the event. If you plan accordingly, the\u00a0table and chair rental company<\/a> may also provide linens and skirts. If you are going with the aforementioned banquet rounds for tables, you will need appropriately sized round linens to cover the table. Most venues only provide a limited selection of colors, so if you are looking for a specific color you will need to seek out a linen rental company<\/a>. This company can also provide napkins, again in the color you desire. Quite often the venue staff will assist you in choosing centerpieces and decor. If you need more assistance, seek out a decor company<\/a> or event planner<\/a> to make sure everything looks perfect. Adorn your table with floating candles, flower pieces<\/a>, fish bowls, or whatever you desire.<\/p>\n
