Can offer jazz/soul/funk entertainment for a venue as small as a 10 person cafe to a large dance theatre.
I can offer my band LUX as well. We play all kinds of things from Nirvana's "All Apologies," To Django's "Undecided." This is a four piece band consisting of an 8 string guitarist, Saxophonist, Singer/saxophone player (me), and exquisite drummer, all bringing to the table a unique sound everyone will enjoy.
Blair Leavitt, a passionate lover of music, grew up in a small town singing mainly CCR tunes with her dad at weddings very young. It was not until her 2nd grade teacher spontaneously had her sing in front of the eighth grade class, while standing on a desk, that she truly developed a passion for performing music. She now performs with the 215th Army Band, touring and playing for people all over Massachusetts at venues such as Symphony Hall, Bruins games, Celtics games, Patriots games, for Generals privately, and for the Governor several times a year. She has also performed at Smalls Jazz Club in New York City, busking in Boston and New York, Breweries/bars, Middle East in Cambridge, weddings, graduations, banquets, etc. Her passion has led her to receive airplay along with her band Lux, who just came out with their second CD (Fat City), on internet radio station Mark Skin radio, WUML (link hidden) was featured in the 6th Annual International radio day in Zurich, Switzerland, and was reviewed in the current edition The Noise magazine by Shauna Erlbaum. With her abilities as a vocalist, she was able to translate some of that knowledge onto a second voice; the saxophone, which is her new passion.
