What to Expect
Every life is an opus—a work of art. Living barefoot means removing the barriers to an authentic life. Through oral communication, I empower people to step beyond cardboard spirituality and into the truth about who they are and who God is.
I give engaging talks on subjects such as authenticity and connection. My talks typically incorporate stories, but I could also give a show made up primarily of my oral story repertoire (personal and fictional stories). I can talk for 20-60 minutes to audiences of mixed age groups.
When people hear my stories, they often feel inspired to tell their own. Part of my job as a storyteller is to facilitate this. I also give hands-on presentations about understanding and structuring a personal testimony.
I see my job as a way of processing and sharing ideas. Giving my testimony, telling folktales, and presenting workshops have allowed me to pour out my vision out to those around me. In fact, my messages typically stem from personal growth and powerful concepts I’ve experienced myself. But as a speaker, I don’t just want to tell people what’s in my heart, or hand down an idea. I love hearing people describe how a workshop or story affected them personally. I want people to reach down inside their own hearts and find out what’s there. I want them to climb up the mountains and see the view for themselves.
