“Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.” –anonymous
Hi! My name is Aviva Chertok, and I am a soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician. I have degrees in violin performance from the University of Michigan and the Royal College of Music in London, and I love teaching and playing gigs. Having a violinist at an event is super special - it always adds a sparkle! I also do studio recordings for bands, films, etc.
Please contact me if you are interested in hiring a professional, fun and talented violinist!
Aviva did a great job at our wedding ceremony. We requested a particular song and she was able to play it very well along with other songs.
Aviva was the perfect addition to a recent reception we had. She is an exceptional artist and talented violinist. We truly enjoyed her .
Aviva exceeded expectations, many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed her delivery of the wide ranging playlist.
Her talent was noticed by all, and that made for a very special event.
Great work, Aviva!!!
I booked Aviva's string quartet for a two hour recording session and I could not have been happier with the session. She and her group were wonderful musicians, very flexible and were able to transpose and record my poorly communicated arrangements in no time. I definitely plan on using them again!
Aviva did a wonderful job and was reasonably priced. She braved a serious blizzard to make our wedding that more special! Highly recommend!
We had a privilege to work with Aviva on the studio recording session. Having only an outline of the song and couple of days to prepare she came in to the studio and performed so beautifully that it not only mesmerized us but it elevated the whole musical piece to a new level. Her personality, musical knowledge and artistic talent were invaluable and we look forward working with Aviva again.

What to Expect
Whether carried softly by a serene background of classical music, or entertained by the acrobatics of the violin, my music always adds a unique flair to a typical event. Guests often comment on how special an evening with classical music is! For studio recordings, it is my top priority to help create the sound my client is looking for. I draw on my experience and flexibility as an artist to make the recording a success.
I am 20 years old and have been studying the violin since the age of five. I currently study with professor Andrew Jennings at the University of Michigan School of Music, one of the top music schools in America, where I am pursuing a degree in Violin Performance. I have also attended the International Meadowmount School of Music.
I was a member of the Midwest Young Artists' Symphony Orchestra for four years. I was also a member of the Meshugene String Quartet, which was invited to and won numerous competitions, as well as performed on Chicago classical radio WFMT 98.7 and National Public Radio's From the Top.
