It was my first experience to use gig salad, and I was extremely pleased with the outcome. First of all the site is very easy to use. And there are links and video that is my absolute bonus for the artist that include those. Ashleigh E was one of the first to reach out to me after I started to figure how it worked.
I was immediately impressed with how good of a correspondence we were able to conduct. And I'm happy to stay that my instincts were right about selecting her to come do our party. She showed up on time, and was able to pull a few rabbits out of the hat before the performance began! (song selections and additional instrument at the last minute). Everyone at the party enjoyed both her music style and length of her set. I truly feel that I got my moneys worth, and will definitely want to use her again! Thank you Ashleigh, and thank you gig salad!

Sultry, soulful, sincere…three words often used to describe Ashleigh. Hailing from the small town of LaGrange, this Georgia Peach is relatively new to Texas soil; however, she is no stranger to the stage. An honors graduate from the University of North Texas with her Bachelors of Jazz Studies and a current Master’s candidate for a Masters of Vocal Jazz Performance, music has always been Ashleigh’s passion and first love. She has performed for thousands of people across the globe, from private parties and local venues around North Texas, including the Denton Jazz and Arts Festival, to stadiums and arenas as a background vocalist and featured performer with Grammy-award winning recording artist Chrisette Michele in London, South Africa and all around the U.S., no stage is too big or too small for Ashleigh’s dynamic presence.
Her talent and work ethic have been tested and proven as she has been the lead female vocalist with many of Dallas’s top bands such as the TOP Band, Professor D, Domino Effect, Downtown Fever, The Knice 2 Know Band (K2K), and The Krewe of Swing. She is a member of the world renowned Jazz Singers “1” with whom she also won a 2012 Downbeat Award and shared the stage with the world renowned vocal jazz group The Manhattan Transfer and the phenomenal Jon Hendricks.
Outside of her proven ability to shine as a member of various performance ensembles, her unique talents have been individually recognized throughout her blossoming career. Not only has she been awarded the prestigious Downbeat Student Award for Best Undergraduate Jazz Vocal Performance in 2011 and the Outstanding Undergraduate Vocal Jazz Soloist in 2012, but in 2012, she was chosen, out of 900 applicants, as a Top 5 finalist in the “Sarah Vaughn International Jazz Vocal Competition” where she performed in front of jazz greats such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Jon Hendricks, Larry Rosen, Michael Bourne, and Melissa Walker, and walked away as the 1st runner-up in the competition while being the youngest of the finalists. In 2015, she returned to the NJPAC stage to compete for a second time in the Sarah Vaughn International Jazz Vocal Competition and this time she took home the coveted “SASSY” award! Soon after winning the award she signed a 3 album recording contract with Concord Records! Her debut album, which is being produced by multi-Grammy winner Terence Blanchard, will be released at years end and will feature some of the hottest and best artists of this generation. After the release of the album she is set to open and share the stage with none other than the multi-Grammy award winner, five NAACP award recipient, and four time American Music Award winner, Patti Labelle on February 5, 2016 at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida!
Ashleigh’s style is able to fit almost any genre with ease and finesse and while she takes perfecting her craft seriously she fills every performance with the same spirit of fun and joy that she exudes every day.
