Anna is a belly dance performer in Washington, D.C. Her favorite belly dance style is classical Egyptian also known as Egyptian cabaret. Egyptian style belly dance is the most dramatic form of belly dance because it adopts movements based on the rich influences of Egyptian music. The fusion of Anna's harmonious nature and Egyptian dance drama results in a balanced, clean and glamorous performance suitable for all celebrations.

A belly dance "set" or performance is typically 20 minutes long. This set will include at least one prop which may be a veil, cane or shamadan which is a chandelier-like display with burning candles worn and balanced on top of the head. The belly dancer will typically wear one costume for one set however a set may also be divided into two short performances with a costume change. One set is 3 to 4 songs long with an introduction song to which the belly dancer enters the event and performs, a second or third song to which the dancer dances and invites guests to dance with her, and a final song to which the dancer continues to perform or dancing with guests if they are so inclined. Dancing with guest may include showing and teaching belly dance movements.
Anna is a belly dance performer in Washington, D.C. Anna is also the founder and co-organizer of DC Hafla a monthly belly dance soiree for the belly dance hobbyists and professionals and their friends and families in the Washington, D.C. area. She started studying and performing belly dance in 2007 after several years of adult ballet training and strives to bring belly dance to the Washington, D.C. community because she thinks it is the best and most entertaining form of dance for anyone who has outgrown ballet. She loves to teach belly dance moves to other women or just dance with someone who wants to give it a try. Her favorite belly dance style is classical Egyptian also known as Egyptian cabaret. Egyptian style belly dance is the most dramatic form of belly dance because it adopts movements based on the rich influences of Egyptian music. The fusion of Anna's harmonious nature and Egyptian dance drama results in a balanced, clean and glamorous performance suitable for all celebrations. Anna continually studies with Fatan Salama, a master Egyptian dance instructor in the Washington, D.C. area. Anna also travels to Cairo annually to update costumes, music and dance knowledge through renowned Egyptian instructors and belly dance performers.
