We recently had the pleasure of booking Andar the Sorcerer for a special event at Happy Hollow Park & Zoo, and the experience was nothing but magical! Andar's performance not only brought enchantment to the stage but also created an atmosphere of wonder and unforgettable moments for families inside the park.
I couldn't help but overhear the delighted gasps and excitement from our guests, with numerous "ooo" and "ahh" moments. It was evident that Andar the Sorcerer had successfully created an atmosphere of pure enchantment for children in the audience.
Equally impressive was Andar the Sorcerer's interactive approach with the audience. Actively engaging with our guests, Andar brought special volunteers to the stage, adding an extra layer of excitement and making the event even more memorable. The connection established with the audience created an inviting atmosphere, turning the performance into a shared experience for both children and adults.
If you're looking to add a touch of magic and fun to your event, Andar the Sorcerer is the option for you.
Magician
Andar the Sorcerer was magnificent! We hired him for our son’s ninth birthday party and he kept the kids (and adults) engaged for an entire hour. If you’re looking for something fun to add to your birthday party, I highly recommend Andar!
Children’s Party Magician
Andar the Sorcerer is a very talented magician. He recently performed at the last minute (thanks man!) for our annual "Day on the Beach" event in Santa Cruz. He worked well with all of our audience which had many special needs kids in attendance and was an important part of our successful event. He entertained everyone! Shared Adventures and I highly recommend him.

Response from Andar the Sorcerer:
There must be a mistake with the reviewer's name. The Shared Adventures "Day on the Beach" event was managed by Daryl Wise. It is Daryl who wrote this testimonial for me, not Greg.
We had Andar the Sorcerer come to our senior men's luncheon group. Everyone was very pleased and entertained by his show. Our elderly group is not easily fooled, yet many of his trick illusions left us wondering how he did them. His show was appropriate for an elderly group and I can see it would be appropriate for a kids show as well. Andar is friendly and engaging with his audience and very social. We were entertained as his show moved quickly and was fun. He is well worth the price and I recommend his show!

Andar performed at the Christmas Party for the Child Advocates of Silicon Valley on Dec 14th. The initial expectation was about 40-50 children. We had over 100 children attend the picnic at King's Academy building this year. For over an hour, Andar kept the crowd of about 200+ laughing and clapping. Most important of all, he made sure the children were involved and kept getting closer and closer to him! As the organizer, I had very good interaction during the whole process from selecting the right Artist to execution - he is just a very understanding and committed professional. We hope to have him return every year.

Andar was wonderful to work with at my daughter's 3.5 birthday. Professional, on time (early in fact) and wow'd the audience with his walk-around magic before the show. His show was perfect for the 20 kids who were mesmerized and "helpers" for over 30 minutes. Thanks, Andar! You are a natural! Keep honing your craft and wow'ing crowds

Our elementary school had a fundraising event with almost 700 people in attendance. Andar was our final act of the evening and was a huge success! He arrived on time and set up without a lot of direction. Andar was prepared with a multitude of acts that were engaging and interactive which exceeded our expectations and entertained the children along with the adults. Laughter and giggles were bellowing from the Multi Use room and the kids didn't want him to end his show. We would certainly invite him back for future engagements and highly recommend Andar for audiences of all ages.

About
Established in 2001.
Andy Jackson is a native of Santa Cruz, California. He first studied magic at six years old, showing various tricks to his family and friends. He soon began designing and constructing his own effects and props and performed complete shows while known as "The Great Whodunit".
He and a close neighbor friend invented the world's first Sidewalk Magic Show (similar to a lemonade stand) which drivers and pedestrians would stop by and pay .50₵ to see a few tricks.
He further honed his skills reading books by the master magicians and watching magic videos. In college, he studied Theatre Arts and showmanship, including: acting, improv, choir, dance, makeup, costuming, props, set design, lighting, audio.
Andy worked at a magic and novelty store in Mountain View, Ca. where he would demonstrate each of the magic effects for customers.
In 2001, he started a professional magic career performing for 100 kids and counselors at a summer camp in Soquel, Ca. "Andar the Sorcerer" was created, adapted from his name. He expanded to perform shows throughout the Bay Area and entertained people of all ages.
In January 2014, he produced, directed, and starred in his own public 2-hour stage magic show titled, An Evening of Magic and Illusion, which ran for three weeks. His magical assistant was Olivia Hallie-Lehrman, an acrobat from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus.
Andy was Vice President of The Coastal Magicians Club of Santa Cruz County from 2014-2016. He is an active member of The International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) and The Society of American Magicians (SAM).
In 2015, he auditioned for America's Got Talent.
To date, Andy has performed hundreds of shows statewide and has invented 12 original magic effects. "Andar The Sorcerer" performs magic regularly for your special parties and events.
Additional Booking Notes
I have a portable magic box on wheels with shelves inside. I store my various magic tricks in the shelves and as I perform the show, I pull out one effect at a time and interact with members of the audience. I also set up a folding table behind me to hold bigger effects, illusions and props.
Some of these illusions are choreographed to music. I have a wireless microphone headset and portable music system. Lots of other tricks use audience participation and volunteer assistants.
Let's plan a show time. I would need to arrive early, as it takes about 30-45 minutes to prepare and set up all of the tricks before the actual performance and also another 30 minutes after the show to put all of the items away.
Payment will be due after my performance in person on the day of the show. If you pay a deposit, then the remainder will be due after the show. I accept cash, personal check, money order, PayPal, or credit card invoicing.
