Without exception Allen, in general, is extraordinary as a performer. Moreover, AWESOME as Tim McGraw. In addition to entertaining, he is a stand-up gentleman, with a great personality.
Let me share a short story. Here I am, depressed because my daughter had asked me years ago if a local Pittsburgh entertainer could someday sing our daddy/daughter song as we danced together at her wedding. Well, after a year of planning it fell through just weeks before the wedding, which was on October 8, 2011.
The song she chose was “ My Little Girl” from the movie Flicka. So here it was, just a week before the wedding and I get this idea. “ Why not have Tim McGraw sing it for us”. Well, not really Tim, but someone that impersonated him. So, of course, I Googled it.
Well, long story short. (Oops, too late to say short). I found Allen. As I said; “ what a gentlemen”. He dropped everything. Drove down to Pittsburgh from near Detroit and surprised 230 guests as he walked into the reception.
Let me tell you that as I danced with my daughter Alissa, I could not tell if it was a CD of Tim McGraw or Allen singing. (And by the way, halfway through the song, with Allen only eight feet from us, Alissa was still asking if it was really Tim. And my daughter and I are huge country fans).
He was perfect with his performance.
Later that evening, to the cheers of everyone present, Allen sang several more selections with the same perfection.
Well, as I said, not a short story.
The following Monday and Tuesday guests from the wedding were still commenting on how they could not believe that I got Tim McGraw to sing our daddy/daughter song and were still asking if it was really him.
HE IS THAT GOOD.
The happiest “Daddy of the Bride in Pittsburgh”,
