Bryce "Metatron" Smith is a 24 year old Fire Poi Manipulator/Dancer, Fire eater, Pole acrobat, Japanese rope dartest and instructor of Flow arts and meditative Poi spinning, based in Los Angeles, CA. He specializes in improvisational collaborations with live musicians and EDM artists for large audiences. His background in dramatic arts heavily influences his performances style. His aesthetic is urban alternative, refined, witty, and provocative. Bryce is perfect for adding a modern and edgy flair to any event.
Metatron was on-set for our video production project and he was amazing! Very friendly, professional, easygoing, and of course, very talented! We were so grateful to have him on the shoot, and would highly recommend him for any type of event.

Fire Performances
Upon arrival, a fueling station is determined and prepared. This will generally take no more than ten minutes. The props will be lit on the stage. The performance consist of an arrangement established prior to the performances execution. They may include but are not limited to the following: A fire eating act, A fire Rope Dart spinning act, A fire fleshing and fire transfers act, and A fire Poi spinning act.
Act may take anywhere from 10 minutes to 45 minutes Depending on the amount of time allotted for performance. Inquire about more than one hour.
Go Go Performances
Go Go performances can be done with glow LED poi, stage poi, a glow LED hoop, a stage hoop or without a prop. This type of performance can be done as long as desired with breaks for water. Perfect for an event with elevated platforms and a less formal general attitude.
Non Fire Stage Prop Performances
This type of performance should be done in a slightly more formal showcase setting. The performer will be using LED glow poi or stage poi. This type of performances has no time restrictions or placement specifications but 5 - 15 minutes is a more commonly desired length of time.
Acrobatic Pole Performances: This type of performance will require set up pre-event. A pole rental and set up fee of $150 dollars is required. Standalone stage must be placed in low traffic areas with a crowd barrier surrounding all sides if standalone stage is at ground level.
Bryce "Metatron" Smith has been training in object manipulation since the age of 17. Now age 24, He specializes in the art of Fire poi and Stage poi manipulation, Japanese rope dart manipulation, Fire eating, Fire contact (drawing small, harmless trails of fire upon ones skin ) and Pole Acrobatics.
When spinning fire, Bryce uses an untraditional method of movement. He bases the patterns that he creates off of a 3 dimensional grid of which he is standing in the center... Hard to comprehend? Check out one of his videos for an example.
He has a sophisticated and alternative style when performing and brings high energy and intentional design to all of his fiery shapes.

Fire performance requirements
Guest entry for the safety/assistant of the performer: During a performance, an assistant may be present to help with any needs the performer may have during the event.
2 designated spaces for the performance ( Stage, Fueling stations): These spaces must be at least 15 feet way from each other. The Fueling station will house the fuel, idle tools, and other supplies. Coleman Camp fuel (also known as white gas or Naptha) is used for most fire performances. This station should be exclusive to the performer and his assistant. It should also be marked as "off limits" to unauthorized personnel and a NO SMOKING section.
A distance of 15 feet from the ceiling and 10 -15 feet from the audience: Though this type of spacing is not required for a performance, it is typically recommended. If event is done on public property, a fire marshall will often require 12 - 15 feet.
The performer will require at least ten intermitted minutes following every 30 minutes of performance.
If venue is of public domain or the owner of the facility has not given direct permissions for fire manipulation on the premise, Customer must attain clear consent before booking. If liability insurance is required, their may be a small service charge.
