My Mother's 70th birthday party was an Italian garden party, and solo accordionist Josh was the perfect entertainment! He dressed as a gondolier and performed a set of Italian songs that had us clapping and singing along.
Prior to the party, booked through GigSalad, Josh communicated with me about the details. He arrived promptly and ready to perform. A wonderful accordionist and an excellent showman, he brought the party to life with Italian music, and even threw in a couple of Polish polkas for my Dad! His personality and showmanship drew everyone in, transporting us to Italy, and within a few songs we felt as though he was part of the family- our long-lost Gondolier cousin serenading his great Aunt on her birthday. It was lovely. I am so grateful for his excellent performance and professionalism throughout the planning process. I would absolutely hire him again, and most certainly recommend him for any such event.

Our core band is a trio consisting of multi-instrumentalists who perform on accordion, guitar, saxophone and bass. Vocals are sung in Italian and English.
Our style of music is extremely elegant as we draw heavily from the European tradition with its classical foundation, as well as from the modern American / jazz takes made famous by Sinatra and Dean Martin, to the modern classical crossover of Bocelli.
Our band is well versed in cocktail hour jazz, which we can blend in with the Italian music. This version of the band features the saxophone along with the accordion and or piano or mandolin.
Gruppo Di Gondolieri are based in Brooklyn and perform all over the Tri-State area, having traveled in the past 6 months to New Jersey, Connecticut, Long Island and the Hamptons.
