Influences & Inspiration
We are influenced by saxophone playing of the big band era such as Stan Kenton, Maynard Ferguson, etc. Wendell composes and arranges for the group in a modern vein taking old standards from the American Songbook and presenting them with a different twist. He is influenced greatly by the writing of Lennie Niehaus of Clint Eastwood fame.
