I'm a professional speaker who specializes in funny-yet-thought-provoking presentations loaded with Creativity—my favorite subject. Besides award-winning speaking skills, I also use my 20 years of experience as a graphic designer to create amazing visuals to enhance my words. With over 1, 000 hours experience speaking before audiences, I communicate exceptionally well, can roll with the punches like an improv performer, and have the wit and timing of a standup comic. All that, plus some unique wisdom and insight regarding life and the pursuit of happiness, and it's a win-win for you and your group/team/meeting/convention.

My keynote speech is 45-60 minutes and will have audiences laughing out loud one moment and resolving to take decisive action the next moment. The verbal presentation is accompanied by my amazing visuals—slide which surprise and delight with their unexpected actions and images. Your audience will be on my side from the first sentence, as my self-deprecating wit, compelling stories, and practical applications combine to make a most memorable package.
Mike Robertson is a professional member of the National Speakers Association whose greatest joy is in helping people find and develop their creative abilities. He practices what he preaches: Mike is a musician, author of three books, gifted storyteller, and has more than 20 years of graphic design experience. He views his presentations as works of art, designed to entertain, inspire and dazzle audiences through his humor, insight and artistic approach to the visuals which accompany his words. Equally at home speaking to 2000 or 20, Mike is a personable, natural raconteur who will hold the attention of any group, while giving them much to think about in the weeks to come.
Mike just received (July 2014) a standing ovation from his peers at the National Speakers Association convention for his presentation called "No Power & No Point: Why Your Slides Suck & How To Make 'em Soar." He is now available for consulting or training on how to make better slides which can enhance your words instead of just repeating them. And Mike has created a video podcast series, ClickStarters, to help others transform their slides into amazing, eye-catching works of art. ClickStarters is available on YouTube and on iTunes.
For the full Mike Robertson experience, I prefer a single screen with high-quality projector. I use my own laptop to run my Keynote presentation and will supply my own remote. I prefer a wireless lavaliere microphone, since I use my hands to interact with the screen at several points.
I was influenced by great storytellers like Garrison Keillor, Bill Cosby, and Mike Birbiglia. My sense of humor was shaped by many, many comedians, ranging from classic legends like Groucho Marx to more contemporary wits like Steven Wright, Mitch Hedberg, Jerry Seinfeld, Brian Regan, and Jim Gaffigan. The slides I use were influenced by countless artists and designers, along with some magicians who instilled in me the desire to surprise and thrill the audience. I interact with my slides in a way that I have not seen anywhere else.
