A Tribute to History
The tribute show concept in the Southeastern Michigan area was developed by the late Tom Furtney in the early 1970’s. His shows were unrivaled in their professionalism and crowd appeal and were enjoyed by people from all over the Metro Detroit area. In honor of his pioneering spirit and commitment to excellence, the new Salute to the Superstars has picked up the banner of his show name. A few of the performers in our roster today performed in Mr. Furtney’s shows and are proud to continue his legacy with new friends. Tom’s shows were usually seen at one location; his club Mr. F’s Beef and Bourbon in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The new Salute to the Superstars has modified the concept, taking our shows on the road to appeal to a wider market of audiences. We can tailor a show to work within a wide range of settings or venues to provide an unforgettable evening in any area.


The Real Deal
There are many other companies in our area today touting “professional stage shows” with “fabulous performers” that on the surface seem to offer what Salute to the Superstars does. However, in show production, it's attention to detail that makes a show an event to remember.


We believe that we are setting the standard as a benchmark in live tribute shows on several levels. Utilizing the latest in professional Mackie concert sound equipment, every show delivers crisp clear sound regardless of the size or layout of the performance area. Whether venues choose live music or backing tracks for our entertainers, the music sounds like it’s supposed to - not tinny or canned. Our on-staff professional sound engineer’s years of experience in live shows help us to deliver sound like none of our competitors which utilize part time disc jockeys & DJ equipment. Every production is managed by a producer and co-producer on-site from setup to load-out to insure a smooth running event. We can also provide event communication, security personnel, and additional support as needed.


Our roster of over 34 entertainers and growing, from a variety of genres, is unparalleled in this area. Many of our artists have toured the country for years. Though we are fortunate that they are local talent, they bring years of well-traveled performing experience to the stage with every show. A few have won or been nominated for tribute industry awards, and some have music careers outside of the tribute business as well. All performances are by 100% tribute artists, not just someone with a good voice singing whatever songs they can sing. They work hard on the look, the mannerisms, and the voice of their chosen artist to deliver an honest and genuine tribute. We do not promote “Variety Shows” or use non-tribute singers as filler for any productions. As venues permit, our shows are crowd-interactive so that everyone has a memorable experience. We use the entertainers we use for a reason; they are great performers. A few even have “groupies” that attend nearly every show they do no matter where it is.


Our success and professional reputation has even begun to attract the attention of artists from neighboring states and Canada. Some travel for hours to be a part of our shows. We are constantly on the lookout for talent and add performers to our offering continually. From oldies to Motown to country to pop and rock, nearly any type of crowd can be thoroughly entertained. We offer several types of packages with options in show types, length, and other services to meet any budget.
