(The Ted Vaughn Blues Band) ... is quickly carving a reputation as one of the Pacific Northwest's favorite bands.
- The Salem Business Journal – Salem, OR April 2010
The Ted Vaughn Blues Band features five professional musicians with decades of recording and performing experience among them.
Known for their raucous, high energy live performances, they are gaining legions of fans worldwide. Individually, the members have shared venues with top artists such as John Fogerty (CCR), Timothy B. Schmidt (The Eagles), Kenny Loggins, Doug MacLeod, and Grammy nominee John Nemeth. The Band has electrified blues lovers at some of the largest festivals in the country as well as smaller, more intimate venues.
In September, 2011, due to the popularity of their original music, the band was listed as one of the "Top Ten" bands for worldwide airplay on Jango internet radio.
Their long awaited CD, "The Ted Vaughn Blues Band" was recently released on Harbinger Northwest Records and was recorded by the Platinum Award winning production team of Leon-Forrest and Paul Carlsen (Nirvana , Greg Allman, The Doors). It has garnered critical acclaim worldwide and received a nomination for "CD of the Year" by Indie Music Digest
Ted Vaughn - Vocals and Blues Harp : Ted was born and raised in Texas and was heavily influenced by the blues sounds of "Lightnin' Hopkins", "Howlin' Wolf", his namesake, Stevie Ray Vaughan as well as country artists such as Waylon Jennings. Ted formed a friendship with the late Texas bluesman Willie Willis (The Wildcatters) and studied technique on the harmonica from such notable players as Charlie Musselwhite, Sam Meyers (Anson Funderburg and the Rockets) and James Harman.

Later, Leon formed the band "Firewind" which caught the attention of Gabriel Mekler, producer of "Three Dog Night" and "Steppenwolf". Today, Leon makes music from Seattle to Nashville and also wears the hat of producer, engineer, studio musician and top dog at Harbinger Northwest Records.
