The group Consists of seven members; Kyle Hernandez on Guitar and Tenor vocals, Alec hendon on Acoustic Bass and Bass vocals, Tierney Ryan on Alto/Soprano vocals, Chris Davidson on Drums, Casey Francis on Alto Saxophone, Wayne Tucker on trumpet, and Pablo Moser on Tenor Saxophone. The Midtown Collective is Actively Performing throughout the New York and brooklyn area!

Kyle Hernandez is a 23 year old Guitarist/ Vocalist/Composer from Sacramento Ca. Starting as a child playing trumpet and singing in Local ensembles Kyle soon discovered his love for music and began playing out professionally, by the time he was in high school he was already playing with the top big band at Sacramento State University. Kyle is a graduate of The New School of Jazz and Contemporary music located in Manhattan, New York. He has since played with such notable Musicians as Maynard Ferguson, Joe Llvano, Roy Hargrove, Peter Bernstein, Reggie Workman Cake, and many others. Kyle has also won Various awards playing at Jazz Festivals all throughout the United States including, Most outstanding soloists at The Reno, Hayward, Folsom, Boston and Montreal Jazz Festivals. Kyles current trio has a fresh edge to the traditional jazz and pop sound, mixing Traditional jazz sounds with vocal pop, funk and original music.
Pablo Moser is a 26 year old Tenor saxophone player, composer and arranger from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is currently based in NY, finishing the Jazz Studies program at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. He is an active member of the jazz scene in Buenos Aires, and has played with most of its exponents. In New York, he has performed in various venues including The Jazz Standard, Avery Fisher Hall and St. Peters Church.
Wayne Tucker is a 23 year old Trumpet/Composer/Arranger from Syracuse, NY. He is a 2009 graduate of the Jazz Studies program at SUNY Purchase under the direction of Todd Coolman. He has played with many of today's current Jazz stars including Bob Mintzer, Delfayo Marsalis, Ryan Kisor and many more. He has performed at many venues including The Syracuse Jazz Fest, Jazz in the Square, Dizzy's Club Coca Cola, Avery Fisher Hall, Birdland, and The Kennedy Center. He has studied under many great trumpeters including George Coble, Jon Faddis, Scott Wendholt and Jim Rotondi. He was a participant in the 2009 Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Program, 2009 National Trumpet Competition, 2005 New York All-State and more. He can be seen performing around the New York area with many of today's current and up and coming jazz stars.
Casey Francis is 23 year old alto saxophone player from Bellvue washington. He has a straight ahead and big band jazz background. Playing lead alto throughout his stay at Bellevue college, he has traveled to Lima Peru, Beijing China, and Prague. He was recently selected by the New School for Jazz to play with the Rotem Sivan quartet to play in the 2010 Bern Jazz festival in Switzerland. He continues to hone his craft and develop his own sound by studying with todays recording artists. Besides an obvious influence from Julian Cannonball Adderley, he is also inspired by his mentors and teachers such as Jim Snidero, Vincent Herring, David Schnitter, Scott Wendholt and more.
Alec Hendon is a 23 year old bassist from Syracuse, NY. Alec has been playing music in various forms since childhood, however started playing bass professionally in bands during high school. Recently, Alec graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston where he received a Bachelor of Music in Performance. Alec has played extensively throughout Europe and The United states and has played with such notable musicians as Wynton Marsalis, Bobby Watson and George Garzone. While in Boston, Alec studied bass under John Lockwood and Oscar Stagnaro, while also performing with various teachers from Berklee College of music. Alec has won outstanding musician twice at both Oneida Jazz festival and New Hartford Jazz Festival both in New York. Alec is currently collaborating with jazz guitarist Kyle Hernandez.
Chris Davidson is a 25-year old drummer and composer that got his start at a young age playing in rock bands in and around Stanford Connecticut where he grew up. He later moved to Long Island NY, to attend Five Towns College where he discovered a love for jazz and quickly played in, and formed as many groups as possible. Chris later made his move to New York City where he was enrolled at the New School for jazz and contemporary music to hone his composition skills and amerce him self in the New York music scene. Since his move to New York he has been playing in many clubs and venues such as Sweet Rhythm, The Jazz Standard, Puppets Jazz Bar, Shrine and many more. Chris has also had the opportunity to study with Billy Martin, Mark Guiliana, and Ali Jackson and has been in ensembles lead by Adrew Cyrill, Jane Ira Bloom, and Reggie Workman, along with other groups outside of school, Such as the Midtown Collective.
Tierney Ryan Is from long Island and sings second vocals in the group, is graduated from Fine Towns College with a degree in music education. Tierney has performed in a wide array of ensembles throughout her career including but not limited to duets with jazz guitar great Bucky Pitzarelli, fronting jazz Trios, or even an acapella quartet which she is a member of called The Jingle Belles which have been featured on the Raechel Ray Show! Tierney plans on continuing her musical carrerr by attending Manhattan school of music in the fall while continuing to perform publicly in the new york area."Tierney puts her extensive experience with jazz to use in the groups complicated jazz arrangements. Her smooth and sultry tone lends a nice element to the group"
