The Front

About

Tim Monaghan and Fred McLean are The Front. We play a wide variety of music, including new hits and old classics, with everything from pop to rock to county --- and just about everything in between. An offshoot of their other electric band Accidental Heroes, The Front was a way to stretch out into some more intimate areas while still staying true to the music that they love. We have the ability to bring in a percussionist for the larger bookings, and are able to perform up to 5 sets of music, as needed. We are willing to travel in the surrounding area, and are available for events as well as club dates.

Influences

We grew up listening to everything from the 60's on, so the Beatles,Beach Boys, and Motown were huge influences on our harmonies. Moving into 70's and 80's, we learned to play our instruments then, and both began our professional careers playing top 40 and original music from that time. And neither of us ever stopped playing, so we continue to be influenced by the music that we continue to play and perform.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 45 - 300 minutes

Our acoustic set has a lot of fun and surprise built in --- our sets run from some very high energy songs to very intimate ballads, and we love to interact with the crowd. We do take requests, and if we know it, we definitely will play it. We will also learn specific requests with advance notice, such as for weddings or parties. We have both made a living working the club circuit, so we are used to working in very different circumstances, and adapting to what we have to work with. And we love what we do, and enjoy performing for our audiences!

Additional Notes:
We have our own PA system that can be tailored to the smallest venue, or expanded for much larger gatherings. We have a sound and lighting technician for larger events.
