Grand Illusion was formed in the mid 90s by a group of seasoned players in Los Angeles for the sheer enjoyment of playing the multifaceted music of STYX. The band garnered high praise in its first year, being voted one of the TOP 5 TRIBUTE BANDS IN L.A. by B.A.M. magazine. The original core members reformed the band in 2003 for a bigger, better STYX tribute machine that excels at reproducing the unique sonic palette, delicate musical nuances and rough edged rock energy that STYX was famous for. The often dense and intricate vocal harmonies are all there and the energy level is HIGH! Grand Illusion is available today for live performances, meet and greets and photo ops.
