About St. Mark's Square
St. Mark's Square is a classical string quartet of talented musicians who will bring style and class to any event! This chamber group is made up of 2 violinists, a violist and a cellist. St. Marks is made up of musicians who are currently instructing at or have served on the faculties of Missouri State University, Drury University, and College of the Ozarks. Each are permanent chair musicians in the Springfield Symphony Orchestra,and their performance experience has brought them around the world, where they have performed on Broadway to Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center; from Branson, MO theaters to concert stages abroad in the Far East and Europe.
Biography:
St. Mark’s Square is a professional string quartet whose members are Michael Murray, Allison Steiner, Kirsten Weingartner and Aleksis Zarins. Its members are currently instructing at or have served on the faculties of Missouri State University, Drury University, and College of the Ozarks. Each are permanent chair musicians in the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. Their extensive backgrounds include studies at Manhattan School of Music, University of Arizona, Depaul University and Missouri State University. Their performance experience has brought them around the world, where they have performed on Broadway to Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center; from Branson theaters to concert stages abroad. These individual artists have shared the stage with such talents as Tony Bennett, Kansas, The Lawrence Welk Stars, Steve & Edie Gormet and many, many others. St. Mark’s Square will add class and elegance to any special event.
