Born Richard Randall Snedden in Harrisburg Hospital in 1963, Randy spent the first two years of his life living with his parents in the Harrisburg area and becoming a Hershey Bears hockey fan!
In early 1965, Randy and his parents relocated to Allegheny County where he would grow to adulthood.
A 1981 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School, Randy enlisted in the US Marine Corps shortly thereafter and spent the next several years working in the service of America.
Randy relocated to the central Pennsylvania area in 1993 when he took a job as a full-time National Guard computer manager working at Fort Indiantown Gap, PA.
He remained in that position until the year 2001, when he began managing the network and computer systems for Capital Area Transit in Harrisburg.
So Why Magic?
Fascinated by magic since his boyhood years, Randy has always been thrilled in performing. During his youth, it was as a jazz tenor saxophonist and a tenor choir voice. Now, it is as a comedy magician!
Several years ago during a trip to Las Vegas - the Magic capital of the world! - Randy and Michele wandered in the hotel and casino Stratosphere. To kill time before a show, they browsed a magic shop intent on purchasing a magic set for their oldest son, Richard.
Well, to make a long story short, Richard never received that set! But it's a long way to a career in magic from buying a magic set.
Not long after the Vegas vacation, while meeting with his pastor each week for coffee, Randy would have a new trick to perform with nearly every cup! After several months of this, he was asked to perform a show at Echo Valley's Vacation Bible School.
t was soon following that first show that Randy decided to turn his magic into a part time career. Although quickly amounting to more fun than work, it has since become a full-time venture and is rapidly growing as Randy is quickly becoming one of the busiest entertainers around the area.
Randy's highly energetic style of performing and quick-witted humor works very well with his audiences, both children and adults alike.
Whether entertaining in a stage type atmosphere or strolling in a crowd, his easy going personality and unique brand of comedy have combined very well with amazing feats of magic to form a show that is a sure-fire hit with his clients.
Family ...
Randy and Michele were married in the year 2000 on a day that is impossible to forget: April Fool's Day!
They have three children, Richard, age 12, a daughter, Jazmyn, age 9; and a son, David, age 8.
Having three children of his own has offered Randy a tremendous insight into working with kids on a continuing basis as a magician.
Whether performing at private birthday parties, or in large group setting like childcare centers or schools,
Randy's experience as a father of three uniquely qualifies him for his chosen career in entertainment. And it is his love of performing and wish to spread a little happiness that has brought him success.
