Overview

About

Founded in 1990 by Band leader/drummer Tom Wiggins the band has evolved into one of the Most Well respected New Orleans Musical bands in the World. They have toured Europe extensively at many of the major Jazz & Blues Festivals and have performed with almost all the major Stars of Jazz & Blues, opening shows, playing between shows and headlining shows and festivals as well. Always a stellar lineup of high caliber and very versatile musicians to suit the discriminate tastes around the World. Tom tailors the bands shows to the specific requests of the Event producers that hire them and always delivers exactly what they want.

This Band will and has traveled anywhere depending upon the budget, and expenses for travel. They will be happy to customize the music to suit Your particular needs and styles and their extreme versatility stems from the multi-talented expertise of many of their core members who are master musicians on several instruments. We can also divide the group into two smaller units for multiple shows on the same days with out sacrificing any quality.

We Offer a variety of Shows, Traditional Jazz Preservation Hall Jazz Band Style , High Energy Brass Marching Band, Cajun/Country & Zydeco Show, Traditional Gospel Show, and a High energy Variety show of Caribbean, Afro Cuban, Latin, Salsa songs, Swing Dance Band Music, R&B Soul Classics. We perform for Parades, Concerts, Festivals, Weddings, Funerals, Gala's and Fundraisers, Dances, and Bar B Ques and Picnics too. Church Musical performances and any thing else you can think of. We are Acoustic and totally Mobile or we can go electric with great vocals and do stage shows as well.

Events always get much more for their money with this act because of our versatility and the fact that we can and will perform up to three shows per day if they are close enough together in a region, and have a breather space between them. A 75 to 90 minute daytime performance and another evening performance are ideal but we can do three 45- 60 minutes shows if it works better for your events.

The Perfect act to entertain your audience between Major Star acts, or to open the shows for them and energize the audience, or bring us in for the late night after concert party. We are very flexible.

Just a few of the Great artists we have performed with include:
Phil Collins, James Brown, Van Morrison, B.B King, Taj Mahal, Patti Labelle, Dionne Warwick, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Chaka Kahn, Al Jerreau, Ike Turner Review, Solomon Burke, The Commodores, The Gypsy Kings, Fats Domino, Bo Diddley, The Gospel Hummingbirds, The Soul Stirrers, John Faddis, Marlena Shaw, Slide Hampton, Chick Correa, Gonzalo Rubicano, Herbie Hancock, Buddy Guy, Michel Camillo, Dave Holland, Joe Zawinul, Clarence Trent D'Arby, Dianna Krall, Manhatten Transfer, Dianne Shur, The Family Stone, Tower of Power, War, Wilson Pickett, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Ted Curson, Percy Sledge, Calvin Owens Big Blues Band, Studebaker John & The Nighthawks, The Mingus Big Band, Maria Schneider Big Band, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Buddy Miles, Johnny Adams, Chick Willis, Dwight Edwards, Gerald Albright,Antonio Ciacco, Charlie Wilson, Maxine Nightengale, Lisa Haley & The Zydekats, Al Rapone, Mark St. Mary, Bruce Gordon & Gator Beat, and countless European Jazz greats.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 30 - 240 minutes

Audience members will experience Authentic New Orleans High Energy Jazz from a Brass Band as it really Sounded in the 1900's era. This is not what you ever heard on any scratchy old 78 rpm record folks, but what a real Brass Band sounds like. It launched Jazz Music, and Blues and was the foundation of Rock N Roll and much Country & Western Music as well. It's Gospel roots are ever present through it's infectious rhythms and energy. They will tap their fingers and toes and burst into spontaneous dancing ( Baptist Beware and forewarned) Nobody doesn't Love this music and this Band.

At Weddings and Festivals they will Dance Dance Dance!

At Funerals the Band provides appropriate reverent music during the services and procession, and then transforms it into a Celebration of Life and Love at the close.

Fairs and Festivals find kids from 3 to 103 always having a great time with the band dancing in the streets.

We are totally comfortable on any Concert Stage with any Act, opening the show, playing in the middle of the show, closing the show or Stealing the Show :)) We are indeed a Hard act to follow, and always leave the audience wanting and cheering for more.

Stage/Setup Requirements:
None usually we come self contained for regional gigs, may need: P.A. System, Electronic Keyboards and Guitar Amps and Full Trap Drum Kit for Out of State and International performances.

Additional Notes:
No Technical requirements unless we are asked to do a major Concert Stage show then we will need to have some additional equipment if we are to go Electric and add vocals. Otherwise we are totally Acoustic and mobile and can play any place any time under any circumstances. We can alter our repertoire greatly, with the addition of keyboards. Guitars, vocals & P.A. System when needed.

Set/Song/Sequence List:
We have over 500 Great songs in our repertoire spanning 100 years of the greatest Hits of American Music. We are happy to customize the music for your engagement to meet your specific wishes and needs if booked early enough to arrange it. We are happy to provide an extensive list of songs upon request.

We offer American Country Music Shows, Polka/Octoberfest shows, Mardi Gras Shows, Authentic New Orleans Style Jazz Funerals. Parade Shows, Concert shows, Gospel Music Shows, and many other specialty Shows.
