Royce's Voices is a small acappella ensemble based in San Diego, CA. We sing a variety of musical styles, from barbershop to vocal jazz, ballads and uptunes. We love performing as part of shows with other groups, out in the open like at Christmas on the Prado, Corporate events and even Birthday Parties and Anniversaries. For larger events we provide our own sound equipment and for the smaller more personal occasions we provide the rich full sounds of acapella harmony that will fill any room.
Royce’s Voices was started in 1998 by Royce Ferguson, tenor of Revival (1998 International Barbershop Quartet Champion) and former director of the Westminster Chorus (2007 International Chorus Champions of the Barbershop Harmony Society).
He was joined by a core of experienced singers who had the desire to sing in a high quality small ensemble, and Royce’s Voices was born!
The current core group consists of Royce Ferguson (tenor), Allan Webb (tenor), Mark Reich (tenor), Steve Bates (lead), Jason James (lead), Brad Kelso (lead), Bryan Sandberg (lead), Mike Lawton (baritone), Tom Powell (baritone), Jonathan Tappan (baritone), Brad Sullivan (baritone), John Goebel (Bass), Jerry Kudrick (bass), John Forrest (bass), and Larry Thorpe (bass).
Depending on the performance type, venue, and singer availability, the performing group may vary in size from 6-15 singers.
For larger performances that require us to bring our sound system we will need easy access to power.
