About
A soulful and versatile artist, Roshana Nofret specializes in Arabic Oriental Bellydance and Iranian Classical & Folkloric dance. Her diverse background and exquisite technique in Middle Eastern Dance evoke brilliant, captivating and exciting performances, full of emotion and passion; and with an incredible connection to her audiences. Roshana seamlessly infuses traditional and contemporary dance elements, producing a uniquely delightful and engaging cultural experience.
Born in Miami, FL of Cuban parents with Spanish and Lebanese background, Roshana has been dancing for several years, training with some of the best and most prestigious Master Instructors throughout the world.
Roshana has performed as a guest artist in numerous highly acclaimed theatrical dance productions both locally and internationally. This talented artist has also performed internationally in large-scale cultural festivals and events in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Canada, and Egypt. She was also the First Place Winner in the Professional Raks Sharqi Competition of the 2008 Miami Bellydance Convention.
Roshana appears in various forms of local and international media, such as TV channels Univision, Telemundo, SiTV, Fuse, MTV Latino, the Miami Herald, various magazines, and music videos for Grammy-nominated artist Fulano’s (Elsten Torres) “Dando Vueltas” and Miami rock band Atom Smash’s “Sacrifice”.
Roshana’s artistic goal is to delight and educate her audiences by sharing her knowledge of the dances of the Middle East in order to promote the appreciation and cultural understanding of this art, further elevating it to the utmost level of recognition and admiration. She is currently working towards a degree in Anthropology to deepen her cultural studies of the art form and its origins.

What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 20 - 30 minutes
Roshana's performances are a spectacular cultural delight! Bellydance/Oriental Dance shows are custom-arranged for each event and generally include dances with selections from a varied array of props (Isis Wings, Silk Veils, Fan Veils, Sword, Candelabra (Shamadan), Egyptian Cane, Finger Cymbals and more), as well as lively and interactive Audience Participation. These shows are tastefully set to beautifully exotic and powerful Arabic music ranging including Classical Arabic, elegant Oriental, vibrant Folkloric, festive Arabic Pop, and dynamic Arabic Percussion Solos. Can be performed with CD or Live Music if requested. Roshana's costuming is refined and of superior quality -- made of real crystals, intricate beading, and exquisite fabrics. Costumes may be coordinated to match or compliment your decor color, Holiday color themes, or dress code (i.e. White Parties) upon request!
Persian Dance performances consist of Classical, Folkloric, Traditional, and Pop Iranian dances, including audience participation. Persian Costumes are custom-made to specific standards, with exquisite fabrics and designs, to maintain cultural authenticity. May be performed to CD or Live Music if available/requested.
