About
Robert Boyd is a concert-level guitarist, composer, transcriptionist, and arranger. A rigorous musician and careful researcher, his private studies in Spain and the U.S. have given him extensive knowledge of the concert Spanish guitar. Mr. Boyd is recognized as one of the very few American musicians that is a Classically trained guitarist as well as a sought after accompanist for Flamenco dance and singing. Born into a family of artists, which includes famed lead singer Brandon Boyd of the multi-platinum band Incubus, he has performed in concerts and recitals as a Classical soloist and accompanist for many Flamenco dance companies. His performance have received rave reviews.
Carlos Gonzales is a concert Classical guitarist, guitar professor and teacher, and a mentor to many young students. As a young teenager in the 1970's, his guitar studies with Celestino Romero and Vicente Gomez led him to pursue a Bachelors degree in the Fine Arts and Guitar Performance from Cal Arts University. In 1980, Carlos began his master's program at Cal State Northridge where he was fortunate to study with and attend the master classes of Andres Segovia, Julian Bream, Carlos Barbosa Lima, Alexander Lagoya, and John Mills. Carlos began teaching at Ventura College in 1981 and has been an inspiration to thousands of guitarists throughout Southern California. Additionally, in 1998 Carlos helped establish and develop the now recognized Ventura Classical Guitar Society. He remains an active concert artist and teacher.
