With roots in bluegrass, jazz, old-time country and more, singer/songwriter Naomi Sommers is emerging as an exciting voice on the music scene. Naomi has been singing, and later playing flute, guitar and banjo, on an award-winning series of bluegrass children’s albums on American Melody, a label founded and run by her father, since she was five years old. In addition to touring solo, she performs regularly with the Sommers Rosenthal Family Band (featuring father Phil, mother Beth and sometimes Naomi’s younger brother Daniel who adds a unique flare with his jazz trumpet virtuosity).
