Great Entertainment for Company Picnic!
Matt Adams Magic provided the entertainment for our company picnic, and the event was a big success. As a warm-up, he did "walk-around" magic, consisting of up-close tricks and illusions for individuals and small groups. The main act was a 30 minute "small-group" show, where he provided everything he needed, including the PA system and background music. Our crowd was probably around 70-75 people. They loved the act, he involved kids and grown-ups alike, and everyone had a great time. I think the show was actually longer than the 30 minutes promised. I highly recommend Matt Adams Magic!

About
Like many magicians before him, Matt Adams became interested in magic at an early age. Matt's parents bought him a magic set when he was about 9 years old; since that time, magic has been a big part of Matt's life. Early on in his hobby, Matt dabbled with creating balloon animals and juggling. However as Matt became a teenager, he discovered that his true love was for magic in its purest form and not in the popular clown act that often goes along with simple sleight of hand. As Matt's love for magic grew, he read extensively and watched every television show on magic that he could find. In this way he was greatly influenced by world class magicians such as Harry Houdini, David Copperfield, Derren Brown, Lance Burton, Jeff McBride, David Blaine, and Chris Angel.
As a child, Matt's favorite type of magic was sleight of hand and escapology. Now an adult, Matt has introduced many new forms of magic into his routines including mentalism and stage illusions. Because Matt started out as a street performer, he has learned to be quick on his feet and several of his routines have this street magic flair (close-up magic). Many magicians use trick decks and cards, but Matt believes that the most visual magic is achieved using normal cards and every day objects. The audience is most impressed when they can handle the objects themselves, turn the object over to the magician, and then witness the impossible.
Matt has been performing magic for children and adults alike for many years. He has had the privilege of performing in several different countries including the USA, Canada, Mexico, Ireland, Thailand, and the Dominican Republic. Matt has produced several online magic videos including a very popular tutorial for coin manipulation. His viewers now number in the hundred-thousands. He has also been published in the online magic magazine "The Magic Roadshow," distributed to many different countries world-wide. A member of two of the world's most prestigious magic organizations - the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) and the Society of American Magicians (SAM) - Matt has performed at such venues as the Space & Rocket Center, Embassy Suites, the Westin, and the world-famous Bridge Street.
Matt has worked specifically with children and youth in various settings including Sunday morning Bible studies, AWANA, VBS, various school programs, summer camps, mission trips, magic shows, and more for well over 10 years. When asked by his clients, Matt enjoys using magic as a gateway to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with his audiences. It is such a privilege to be involved in the Lord's work, and see God save literally hundreds of souls (just this year!) as a result of this ministry!

What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 30 - 240 minutes
Each show is completely customizable and tailored to fit the customer's specific needs! Because Matt has experience in so many different forms of magic, he can perform a great show for almost any event. Some typical effects Matt performs include Vegas style silks, linking rings, audience mind reading, levitations, silverware bending, rope and ring manipulation, card magic, indoor snowstorms, daring escapes, extreme street magic, and other hard-hitting effects on the cutting edge of magic!
Stage/Setup Requirements:
8 foot table at rear of venue for magic shop
Small table on stage for props
Sound system with hookup at the stage level
Additional Notes:
Matt's show is tailored for each event. For a standard stage show we request the following items:
1) Elevated stage with pews or chairs in rows in the front (no side seating)
2) Sound System with hookup at the stage level
3) Four foot on stage to hold props
4) Eight foot table at back for Matt Adams Magic Mystery Shop
5) Two cold bottles of water
We can accommodate a lack of any of these items, but will need to know in advance in order to adequately prepare.
