Mr. Vann has performed with many great artists such as The Whispers, Elvin Bishop, The Marvelettes, Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions, Charles Brown, Brian Auger and many others and also with his own band for over 40 years. In 2005, he was honored with the Blues Society's West Coast Hall of Fame "Blues Drummer of the Year" award and also the Jazz Institute's "Man of the Year" award.
