Why hire Linsay Setzer?
My studies include 14 years of private lessons, currently with Fran Rowell of the New Jersey Symphony and various types of gigs including, but not limited to : Weddings, parties, company gatherings, cocktail parties, wedding proposals, guest orchestra member, college-high school-middle school musicals and concerts. Musicals include Sweeney Todd, Putnam County Spelling Bee, Peter Pan, Oklahoma, Sound of Music, Christmas Carol, Music Man, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Carousel, Beauty and the Beast, Next to Normal, The King and I.
Would not recommend
We contracted with Linsay to play our wedding. We corresponded several times via email to work out the details and she was flexible and reasonably responsive. She was priced reasonably and agreed to learn a specific pop song that we wanted that was not in her portfolio. She was supposed to start performing 20 minutes prior to the ceremony. She did not arrive at the venue until 10 minutes prior to the ceremony and then still needed to setup. She never contacted us to advise she would be late so when she had not arrived 25 minutes prior to the ceremony, we had to scramble to get our DJ to setup for playing ceremony music when they were not contracted to do so. Fortunately they were there well ahead of schedule and could do that. We were extremely disappointed and it added unnecessary stress to our day. Linsay did not contact us after the event to explain what had happened, we had to contact her to express our disappointment. When we did so, all she had to offer were excuses related to the weather and things "out of her control" that caused her to be late. To be fair there was some rain and flurries as well as a little bit of hail at one point in the afternoon, but all of our other vendors seemed to allow enough time and arrived ahead of schedule. At the end of the day it was her professionalism that was the most disappointing. We would not recommend her for an important event.

Linsay performed at our wedding. She was early to the event and was set up well before we were getting ready to begin. She was dressed appropriately and sounded beautiful! I would definitely recommend her!!

Currently graduating a year early (2013) from the music education program at Montclair State University. Studied privately with Tatiana Virtgyam for 6 years, Carol Vizzini from West Minster Conservatory for 1 year, Brooke Czyzewski of the Philly Pops for 1 year, and currently studying with Francs Rowell of NJSO at Montclair State University.
I am very efficient and only need a space to play. I provide my own music, and necessities. Very open to any services. Very easy to work with.
