Many years of experience and countless bands between them, Lil’ Penny comes together to fuse their eclectic mix of musical tastes into the perfect “chick rock.” Jared Steer, amongst his many other projects, comes to the band in between sessions with “Ben Rudnick and Friends” lending his beat smashing drum skills. The Boston based original band “Watts” lends their bass player Craig LaPointe to hold down the groove and get the girls going. Jeremy’s passion for face melting guitar solos is perfect for turning the crowd into die hard Lil’ Penny groupies. Finally, Amy’s sizzling vocals and sexy persona are enough to make this band the hottest thing around.

Lil’ Penny is has a perfect blend of voices and instruments combining over 20 years of musical experience. Covering a wide range of musical styles, including rock, pop, folk and original songs, Lil’ Penny delivers a tuned in vibe that’s sophisticated yet fun. “We have been making music together since we met and I think that our connection with each other and the music really comes across live.” Instead of touring and life on the road, this duo decided to stay local and raise a family. Now, they enjoy teaching their young children all about music and hope to have them perform in the group some day. With Jeremy’s roots in jazz and rock-n-roll and Amy’s in folk, pop and music theatre this eclectic band OR duo livens up any night out. Jeremy’s smooth guitar skills and Amy’s strong vocals blend to make this band a unique experience. Whether an intimate setting, town fair, private party, or a night out with good friends Lil’ Penny is the perfect choice. No matter what your musical needs are, Lil' Penny has it covered.

Influences
We love music from all genres and eras, but definitely draw on the influence of modern pop/rock bands such as Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, No Doubt, Katy Perry, Paramore, and even older more nostalgic bands such as Bon Jovi, Lita Ford, Queen and Prince. Since our musical preferences are so diverse, we offer a really wide range of music to choose from.
What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 120 - 240 minutes
An audience member can expect to hear the songs they love to rock out to, and feel included in the musical experience that is involved in jamming out to those favorites. Our crisp, but edgy vibe is an exciting and inclusive experience.
