Kevin Colangelo is absolutely the best around! We never knew how good a DJ could be until we met Kevin. He was an excellent speaker that night and kept the reception running smooth. He was easy to work with and gave excellent suggestions based on his experience that truly made our reception exceptional. We booked the photo booth as well and it was amazing how much our guests enjoyed having their pictures taken...guests from their 20s-70s were in the booth having a blast! We had almost 300 guests that had a variety of musical interests and Kevin was able to entertain everyone with a range of great music. His staff was courteous and professional. My husband and I had a great time! Our guests were very impressed with Kevin. Thank you so much!!!!!!

Kevin Colangelo is a professional in every way who went above and beyond what we expected to help us make our wedding day and reception a day we will never forget. We scheduled a meeting with Kevin on a recommendation of a family member after our original DJ company we had hired for our wedding went out of business suddenly. With only a couple of months before the wedding, we were out our deposit and unsure where to turn. We were very lucky Kevin was available. He not only recommended ways to recover our deposit, but also gave us a discount on his services given our situation. His generosity and assistance made such a difference to us.
 
Kevin was very helpful in helping us plan our reception, the timing, feel, lighting in the reception room, etc. He even met us at the wedding site a few weeks before the wedding to help diagram everything. On the day of the wedding, Kevin arrived early in order to ensure all of his equipment was ready and tested well before any guests arrived. His sound system, lighting, photo booth, and staff were all top notch. Kevin was great during our reception at helping us keep to our scheduled timeline, keeping the guests entertained, and playing a great selection of music. Kevin is a true entertainer who has worked enough weddings to know what works and what doesn't and to read the feel of your reception and guests and make changes on the fly if necessary.
 
We would not hesitate to recommend Kevin to any couple who is looking for a high quality DJ to make your wedding day even better. We had numerous people remark during and after the wedding on Kevin's work. We have pictures of nearly everyone at the wedding out on the dance floor because of Kevin and we have a great keepsake of hilarious photo booth pictures too. A great DJ can really enhance any wedding reception and Kevin Colangelo is the best in the business.

With regard to the reception itself, Kevin ensured everything went off without a hitch. We had asked for some additional requests that required his assistance (custom introductions, surprise guest singer, hall acoustics, up lighting, etc) which he ensured were executed properly.

Most importantly, Kevin and his assistant made sure the party was a party to remember. The flow of the music and the order of the songs he played were perfect. The crowd was involved and dancing the entire night and everyone had a great time. We receive tons of compliments and positive questions about the DJ. We would definitely recommend his service. Without ever meeting Kevin in person until the day of our actual wedding, my wife and I booked Kevin during the wedding planning process after speaking to him one-time on the phone only. Kevin was so thoughtful and walked us through everything that he would do for the reception. He really listened to what we wanted and ensured us that he would make that happen (and he did not disappoint). Furthermore, about a week before the wedding, we had a 2 hour conference call where we reviewed every last detail. Needless to say, before ever meeting Kevin or hearing his music, I knew we had the right guy.
Now on to the fun stuff....Kevin was an absolutely amazing DJ. Full stop. When I say that every song he played seemed like the perfect fit, I really mean it (my friends/family agreed as well because they could not believe what a great DJ we had). After getting a feel from us for the type of music we wanted to have, he started out with some classic oldies to get the dancing started. This was earlier in the evening so it was great for our older guests. But by the end of the night, he literally had the place dancing like crazy (mostly me and my wife's friends at this point). But the way that he transitioned from song to song and MC'd the event as perfect. Also, I am from outside of New Orleans so I wanted to make sure I had some of my hometown music, which Kevin was able to make happen as well.
If you are looking for a DJ that isn't cheesy, knows how to MC an amazing party and is a true professional, then search no further. I strongly recommend Kevin for his services. If you are not convinced by recommendation, then I would suggest you call him to get a sense for what a good guy he is and what a fantastic DJ he can be for you!

Kevin DJ'd a close friend's reception last year as well as my own this September. Our friend's wedding was an absolute blast and I was impressed with how Kevin gauged the crowd and played an outstanding mix of music that kept the dance floor packed all night.
Needless to say, I was excited that we had Kevin booked for our wedding the next fall.

I cannot thank Kevin enough for the job that he did at our reception. We have received numerous comments from friends and family that it was the best reception they have ever attended. There were 150 guests and nearly every one of them (from ages 8-80) was on the dance floor the entire evening.

We let Kevin pretty much run the entire evening and our play/don't play lists were very short. The music selection was awesome, the right mix of classics and new hits. As with our friend's wedding, Kevin did an incredible job of gauging the crowd and giving the people what they wanted.

What impressed me the most about Kevin was his level of professionalism and preparedness. Our planning meeting before the wedding was invaluable as Kevin offered several suggestions on the order of events and the flow for the evening. His experience really showed here and his suggested timeline for the evening was perfect. We could not have planned the schedule better and are very grateful for his input.

Of all the various vendors required to pull off a wedding, Kevin very easy to work with and the one whom we felt most comfortable with and confident in. I would recommend him without reservation as he has nailed two home runs at both weddings I've been to. Thanks again Kevin!

In our almost 60 years, we've attended more weddings than we can count. Never before have we seen a performance that comes close to the production that Kevin and his team created for our daughter.
From the set up at our outside wedding on somewhat difficult terrain to the 6 hour reception that followed, everything was simply perfect.
Our guests were awed by Kevin's equipment and the professional manner in which he kept the reception moving along. The dance floor was never empty...many danced to nearly every song...straight through to midnight. And yes, several even climbed to the top of the tables to dance.
The photo booth was a huge hit...we heard many positive and fun comments. The thoughtful backlighting of the sweetheart table and nearby columns was a wonderful touch.
Thanks to Kevin and his team, our daughter's wedding has now set the "gold standard" for "DJ" entertainment against which all future weddings will be evaluated (and we counted at least 24 upcoming weddings in our friendship circle over the next several years).

I don’t even know where to begin! You made our wedding perfect. From the very beginning when we first talked with you, you gave us so much insight & came up with a million ideas that were all incredible. You were so much more than a dj to us. The wedding day was magical! We’ve had so many comments from people saying that our wedding was by far the best they’ve ever been to- and I credit that to you. Your song choice & the timing of the songs was just perfect. You had everyone dancing all night long- from the college aged people to the oldest guests there!
Our entrance to the reception that you came up with was unforgettable. We cannot thank you enough for giving us that moment. Both Jon & I consider our entrance to be our favorite moment from the entire wedding day, and you came up with the whole idea of it on a whim.
