Keith Cotugno, professionally known as Keith Thomas, is a young, up-and-coming musical talent. His expansive knowledge of music and the arts have led him to become an intuitive and creative individual within Long Island’s local music scene.

Since the early age of 10, Keith has been immersed in drumming. With over 15 years as a drummer, he has perfected his sound by crafting original nuances that make his drumming style so captivating. At 14 he joined his first band. They performed shows across Long Island at major venues, such as the Downtown in Farmingdale. At 17, Keith formed White Line Tiger, a more progressive rock band. Keith has performed with White Line Tiger for the past 8 years throughout L.I. and Manhattan, most notably performing at The Knitting Factory in NYC. The band’s first full length album is due to arrive summer 2012 and has hundreds of fans anxiously awaiting its arrival. White Line Tiger’s strong fan base is a true testament to who they are and what they are about – rock entertainment at maximum intensity. Armed with almost two decades of music comprehension and expertise, he has taken his skills to the next level by expanding his sphere of influence into the world of producing and djing. Keith’s dexterity as a percussionist is a nod to his ability to create distinctive rhythms in his music and instinctively mesh beats together with ease and precision to create layered, energetic tracks.

In regards to his work as a producer, he has been influenced by many genres of music. His main musical influences include main room house artists such as Thomas Gold, Oscar G., Laidback Luke, and the members of SHM, Steve Angello, Axwell, and Sebastian Ingrosso. Keith’s appreciation of many genres of music has also led him to produce hip hop beats, made signature with his use of powerful bass and cutting leads. At his own home studio, he has produced house and hip hop tracks in collaboration with local rappers and artists, creating influential and unique music. He has been producing since 21, around the same time that he began djing private parties and at L.I. bars and clubs. He has gained notoriety among local DJ’s and currently has a position at a popular bar in the Hofstra area in negotiation. Keith also has a deal with New York Sports Club gyms to create CD mixes of today’s popular music for their main gym area, as well as for private classes.

Aside from his musical aspirations, he pursues other creative endeavors such as photography and videography along with editing both formats. Since high school, he has been taking photos and making short films. He earned a certificate for best in his class two years in a row in the college level course, Corporate Communications/Digital Imaging (C.C.D.I.). In college, he continued to follow this path of study and majored in Commercial Art and Graphic Design which gave him further insight and inspiration for filming and photography. Keith has been creating memorable and artistic photos and videos for almost a decade.
