Why hire Hana Dolgin?
I am an alto and soprano saxophonist, recently moved to Miami Beach from NY. I play with groups of different sizes, depending on the event and budget. The styles I play are Jazz, Latin Jazz, Blues, Brazilian, Funk and R&B. I have an MA in Jazz Performance from Queens College in NY, having studied with Jazz legends Jimmy Heath, Lee Konitz and Gary Bartz. I am available to travel for work. I put together groups ranging from duos, trios, quartets etc. to suit the event, budget and style desired.

Hana was a pleasure to work with and watch in action. The band drastically heighten my event and really provided an incredible ambiance to socialize and relax. I would highly recommend these VERY talented musicians for any party or event you are planning. The only critique I would have was no encore. But I will definitely be hiring again.

About
I lived and performed in New York City from 1989 - 2008. Venues included the Blue Note, Birdland, Yardbird Suite, the Angry Squire, S.O.B.'s, Langan's, the Robert Treat Hotel, and more.
I performed in Paris in 2000 at "Le Petit Journal" with pianist Michel Grailler, and in a live-broadcast concert at the Maison de la Radio, as a guest soloist with the Patrice Gallas trio.
I was the musical director and bandleader at Langan's Restaurant in the Times Square District from 1997-2000.
Since moving to Miami Beach in 2008, I have performed in the South Florida area at the Van Dyke Cafe, the Globe, Mardi Gras Casino, Seminole Coconut Creek, Mrs. Murphy's, Blue Jeans Blues, the Biltmore Hotel, Canyon Ranch Hotel, CocoWalk, the GroveSpot, Miami Shores Country Club, City Hall Restaurant, and more.
Influences
I have been influenced by mainstream jazz such as Miles Davis, Paul Desmond, John Coltrane and more, as well as by Latin musicians such as Jose Feliciano, Ricardo Montaner, Gilberto Sanatrosa, Roberto Carlos, Mongo Santamaria, Tito Puente, Antonio Carlos Jobim's beautiful bossa nova music, blues, soul and more.
What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 60 - 240 minutes
I perform beautiful music that is exciting and relaxing at the same time. I am a melodic player, with a good sense of rhythm, and people enjoy the music I make. I always play with top notch band members. If you would like mellow background music for an event or an exciting show to be the focus of attention, I can provide both.
