About
The Syncopators are a Pacific Northwest Jazz Band playing the most authentic jazz from the 1920's-1940's around. Influences include Fats Waller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, and more. We have performed across the US, and are currently the house band at Seattle's historic Century Ballroom.
Our first album "Chasin' the Blues" was released in 2008, and our second disc "Harlem Mad" comes out in the spring of 2011.
Our standard sized groups are our sextet and our 13 piece big band, but we often play with a group as small as a trio or quartet for parties, dinners and concerts.

Typical Gig Duration: 30 - 360 minutes
The Syncopators can provide quiet dinner music with a trio or quartet or exciting music, depending on what you need for your event. Whether you want us to move people's feet at your party or wedding, make your dinner party a classier affair, draw people into your store or restaurant we can accommodate your needs wit the right sized ensemble.
With any sized ensemble you can expect to hear jazz played as it was in the 20's or 30's. If you're after authenticity for a speak easy party, New Orleans celebration, swing dance, or any other kind of event, we are your band!
