About

Elliot is an experienced pianist, comfortable playing in a variety of settings, from providing wedding ceremony music, to cocktail party background music, to rousing sing-alongs. His skills are well-honed after years of working as a jazz pianist and playing with some of New York City's most well-regarded jazz, African and indy bands before his recent relocation to the Phoenix-metro area.

Elliot has played a wide variety of events, including holiday parties for the tv shows "Nurse Jackie", "Life on Mars" and "30 - Rock", for which he was personally invited by Alec Baldwin. He has also played at such well-known institutions as The Water's Edge Restaurant, 3 Bears Restaurant, Chelsea Piers, and Governor's Island. He loves providing jazz and classical music for events, and also plays modern pop and rock songs on piano either solo or with a variety of vocalists and instrumentalist. Elliot is very familiar with Jewish religious and secular music. He is also an excellent sight reader, so can help fill in for last-minute gigs.

In addition to playing in bands, Elliot has been a music director of the Rhapsody Players, a 7-member vocal group which sings song of the 50s, 60s and 70s, including The Eagles, The Drifters, Dusty Springfield, The Association, and Gladys Night and the Pips to name a few. He is an accomplished composer and arranger.
