A dynamic live vocalist, performer and entertainer, I have been singing for my supper for 15 years...and counting...professionally. I absolutely love putting on a good show. I have had the opportunity to work on large and small stages across the US and various places in the world.

My love of music started with my parents who filled our house with every kind of melody. I developed a deep love for everything musical and told my parents that's what I wanted to do forever. Thankfully, they agreed and have never asked me to do anything else but sing.

I was fortunate to attend Gulf Coast Community College where I received an AA degree in Classical Voice Performance and Belmont University where I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Commercial Voice Performance. In the heart of Nashville and at the tip of Music Row, I learned more about the beast that is music and myself.

Right after graduation, I had the opportunity to sing for Disney Cruise Line. I had dreamed of working for Disney since I was a kid and had wanted to work for a cruise line since I was 16 when my friends told me about their Carnival Cruise vacation. They had enjoyed the shows so much and told me I would fit right in. So killing two birds with one stone, I was on my way!

In late, 2004, someone asked me what was one thing I would like to do most. I responded immediately, "I'd like to do a show with Ella Fitzgerald's music and tour it around the world." Surprised by my answer, he told me to write it down in an outline and bring it to him when I was done. I didn't realize the glimpses of this I'd had in me since 2002 just needed this catalyst to come out. I finished that outline, in detail, in one evening.

My friend, who was a strolling musician at a restaurant we both worked in, was again surprised by my quick response. 6 months later, I finished the research for a show that is now Ella Sings Ella. It premiered after many years of pushing on the Crown Princess in 2009 to rave reviews by my peers and the guests. Writing shows is now in my blood and I'll continue to put those ideas to paper. In early 2010, I was asked if I could do Tina Turner. Tina has been a part of my family's history for a quite some time. One of my aunt's was an original Ikette and my father absolutely adored her music. As a vocal artist, there have been many times I have had to sing Tina Turner's music in a production show. So the songs were not unfamiliar to me. I would often add Proud Mary to the ends of my sets when I sang in a band. The performance of that song would shut down the house and close out our night...leaving them wanting more. But it had never dawned on me to be an impersonator. My reply to the question was, "Sure I do." Not really knowing if I could or not. I auditioned for an agent and was told I so naturally transformed into Tina Turner before their very eyes...and that was without an official Tina costume! They believed I was her.

That was in 2010. I have wowing audiences with my portrayal of her ever since. I have also added a few other characters to my roster: Diana Ross, Rihanna and Beyonce.

I am blessed to be able to do what I love most...SING!

Influences

Some of my favorite artists and groups: Celine Dion, Nikka Costa, Ella Fitzgerald, Chaka Kahn, Mel Torme, The Black Eyed Peas, Wynonna Judd, The Beatles and Manhattan Transfer. Sounds like a crazy mix doesn't it? A lot of different artists have influenced the work that I do. I was fortunate to have a wide variety of musical styles filling my house growing up. From gospel to country, classical to jazz and everything in between. It allows me to be genuine in performing shows that can cross multiple genres and tastes.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 20 - 50 minutes

My goal is definitely to fit the theme of your event. Be it a wedding or party, a corporate function or public event, you can rest easy knowing that the entertainment provided by me will be a perfect fit.

In more the more intimate settings (wedding ceremony, small birthday parties, etc.), I'll be sure to set the mood you require to celebrate the occasion. Maybe you only need one or two songs sung to set a quiet, youthful, or lively mood? I can make any of those happen for you.

And as for a full show... with me, it is sure to be entertaining. I have definitely been known to pull a person...or 3...from the audience during my shows. Audience interaction is something I thrive on. So, as an audience member, you might want to make sure you've warmed up your singin' voice and dusted off those dancin' shoes. Whether I'm belting Tina Turner tunes or swinging out to Ella Fitzgerald...you never know who I'll call up to the stage next.

Even though most of my shows can be done with tracks and with myself alone, dancers and a live band always give a show a little extra sparkle and can be the cherry atop your favorite flavored scoop of ice cream. As a full service, one-stop entertainment shop, be sure to ask about adding backup dancers or a live band for your event.

No matter which show you choose from me, you can be sure that there will be happy and smiling faces when the lights come up.
