Just what we were hoping for!
We hired Mr. Eldon Sully just from reading the reviews on here. We are from Nashville and were looking for an acoustic guitarist to provide a little ambiance and background music during the outdoor cocktail hour prior to our son's rehearsal dinner for his wedding weekend in Richmond, VA. Since we were from Nashville and were looking for someone in the Richmond area, we found gig salad to be a great resource as we did not know where to start our search. Mr. Sully's reviews were great and video was provided so we could see what he does firsthand. Our rehearsal dinner was held at the Country Club of Virginia in Richmond and he kindly drove over from the Hampton, Virginia area. He was exactly what we were looking for in a very talented guitarist, he has an excellent repertoire, he is very dependable and reliable in both communication with us and with doing what we had agreed upon. We could not have been more pleased and I will be happy to speak on his behalf if anyone has further questions. I will also be happy to serve as a reference or recommendation for him as needed. His beautiful music was just the perfect addition to the outdoor setting and ambiance for the cocktail hour preceding the dinner. Thank you Mr. Sully!

About
Eldon Sully is a native of Leonia, New Jersey and is currently a resident of Hampton, Virginia. He has over 30 years of international professional musical experience. He performs on electric and acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo and dulcimer, and is well-versed in many musical styles. These styles include jazz, rock, pop, country, and traditional and contemporary gospel and inspirational music. He has considerable performance experience as a solo guitarist and as a member of Praise and Worship bands, small combos, big bands and musical theater orchestras.
He was awarded Bachelor Music Education and Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies degrees from Howard University in Washington, DC, graduating magna cum laude. He has also taken courses toward a Master of Music Education degree from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia as well as additional undergraduate coursework from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He has studied with classical guitarists John Marlowe and Frank Bahus and jazz guitarists Joe Pass, John Baboian, Charles Chapman, and Ted Dunbar.
Eldon has a broad range of musical experience. He has performed as a musician in numerous musical theater productions. Some of them are Legally Blonde, All Shook Up, Hairspray, Bruce Hornsby's "Stranger", The Last Five Years, Dreamgirls, Man of La Mancha, The Civil War, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Grease, West Side Story, Fiddler On The Roof, Raisin, Annie, Bye, Bye, Birdie, How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, Mame and Godspell. He performed and assisted in the production of a live double CD Praise and Worship project entitled "The Power of His Presence" while attending International Family Church in Winchester, Massachusetts. He has performed Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto for Guitar and Strings on classical guitar. He has also performed for former President Bush, Secretaries of Defense and Air Force, and numerous other government officials.
He has released two self-produced CDs entitled "First Things First" and "Back 2 Basics." These musical offerings feature his talents as producer, composer, arranger, and guitarist. Eldon currently performs as a free-lance musician with variety bands and a solo artist in the Hampton Roads Area.
