About

Demoine Kinney is a rising star whose talents consist of Actor, Comedian and Saxophonist and a great man of God. A native of Dillon, SC and professionally known as Deacon D, has performed at local,national, and international Comedy & Jazz clubs, churches, and numerous events. Demoine is also the husband of multi talented Author and Motivational Speaker Marita Kinney and father of 6.

Demoine's Musical influences include Kenny G, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Dave Koz, Mike Phillips, Kurk Whalum and many more great saxophonists. His focus is primarily Gospel music but he performs smooth jazz, nu jazz, pop jazz and classical styles of music. Demoine's goal is "to be a blessing to as many people possible because this is his calling and he has to ensure he is doing what is right by the people of God." He has also been quoted in many interview stating his motto is "Do the best you can with your life now because you never know when your last day will be."

Demoine has been featured in films like Marvel's Blockbuster hit "The Avenger's, The watcher's Revelation and quite a few other films. He has also been seen on shows like IComedy live, America's Got Talent and many more shows. He is currently the spokesman for Instant Tax Service and has 4 national commercials airing. He is also featured in a new commercial with Paramount Insurance company.

A few memorable accomplishments for Demoine include sharing the stage with Kurk Whalum and hosting “The LT. Dan Band Show” with the USO at Ramstein AFB, Germany where Gary Sinise (Forrest Gump, CSI NY, Of Mice and Men and Apollo 13) and Kimo Williams (Guitarist) were the headliners.

The highlight of Demoine's career came when he performed as the Leader of The Ali Ai Salem Jazz Band for fellow deployed members which consisted of Air Force, Army, Navy and Marines. Also he provided Theraputic Humor for the Wounded Soldiers at base hospital which is an experience he said he will never forget.

At this point in Demoine's life he is fulfilling his love for Acting, Comedy, music and answering his call to the ministry. Demoine's saxophone easily captures diverse crowds with ambitious notes, dedicated tones and smooth vibes. Aside from serving his country in the US Air Force, Demoine devotes countless time to serving in music ministries at various church and organizations throughout the state of Ohio. Demoine currently ministers at Chapel 3, New Seasons Ministry, Phillips Temple, Christian Fellowship Ministries, and New Destiny Ministries where Bishop Alfred Ringer of Trotwood, OH is his pastor.

Recognized for his multiple talents, Demoine was handpicked, alongside American Idol Finalist Anthony Federov, to judge the United States Air Force in Europe "USAFE Idol", sponsored by the USAFE Band (Touch and Go) and 435 Services.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 15 - 60 minutes

I try to show people that you can be a Christian and still have fun and laugh at things that happen everyday. I also am a Saxophonist and my goal is to share the gifting that I have been blessed with. My goal is never to just entertain but to teach a lesson while I work.

I love being around people and it shows when I'm working.
